4-7$? for the same quality than the ilyad miniatures? WHERE? =D
no honestly, look what you pay for gw or rackham stuff, and look at the lovely work that has gotten into the ilyad stuff ... its worth ir, 10+ for a resin model is nothing in my opinion
(oh any btw i really think they are larger than average but im not sure)

I have a couple of the Ilyad miniatures and they are generally larger than average.

The resin casting is superb, and enables some very clean edges and undercuts you don\'t get with metals. The castings honour the original sculpts very well.

IMHO, these are generally superb sculps , leaps above most other manufacturers in character, detail, anatomy etc and are well worth the money.

I wouldn\'t buy an army tho

Josh $11.60 for 3 goblins..plus shipping..from uk so youre looking at about near $20 at least for 3 goblins!! I say thats a bit much..they have wonderful minis dont get me wrong but most the stuff doesnt imho deserve such high prices..I would imagine these high prices and shipping will detour distributors and stores for carrying them..just my 2 cents..

Orb well i cant say I havent seen them in person sounds like they have used high grade resin similar to some model companies so thats a good start..

I think the Illyad minis are really nice... and I don\'t feel the prices are too high. I have bought Murata and a Guardian of the Realm (I am translating the German names which in turn have been translated from French to German, so just bear with me ;)) and they are both about as big as a Rackham Keratis Warrior (nearly identical in heigth) with an awful lot of details. They were about 10€ each and don\'t tell me other companies don\'t take that much... look at GW and their high prices, or Rackham. Privateer Press is not cheaper either....
Adding shipping to your calculation is unfair, you would have to pay shipping for other minis too.
I order them at Battlefield Berlin and the only problem is the waiting time until they arrive from France.

Mosch from really large miniature sites shipping is generally free like fantization so shipping is always a factor..given they usually have minimums to order Im sure you would think twice before ordering if the shipping wasnt so cheap from France to germany ;) when it goes across the pond its alot more hence again the weariness of people ordering them in bulk with the high intial price.

I\'ve only painted one Ilyad mini, and it is possibly one of the best miniatures I\'ve ever seen. For small orders, shipping usually bites you but I would gladly pay premium prices for these figures if they were available locally. They are truly something else.

As far as I know...

Illiad minis are superb and light years ahead of some companies offerings....

The French manufacturer is not interested in going global and making loads of money..think of it as being like the \'anti-Games Workshop\'.

From what I have heard they wont even deal with foreign distributors so all sales go through an extra link. Much in the same way that Frenchkid has acted as an intermediary on CMON. By the time that distributor has taken their cut, Illyad minis are dearer than their competitors. It\'s still a price I will happily pay for that quality however.

Finn thats very interesting but I would say if they are making minis they have to want to be able to reach everyone in the gaming world which is by all means distributors..thats just not seeing the larger picture ..fine to be anti gw but not wanting Distributors..kinda hard to swallow that one ;)
