Mike, I thought you were learning how to paint holding the brush between your teeth so you could still paint even when the hands were busy.... lol

Thought it was time to bump this thread....so who has got Alphonse, or has he run away again?

Last I knew he was in the hands of Dragonsreach....after a rather lenghty stay with Avicenna and Tooshy. Has he moved on again.

Any chance for a photograph aye???? ;)

Cheers,
Grumb

P.S. - I just went back and checked the first post...Alphonse began his World tour 1 year and 5+ months ago...

He\'s still with me, enjoying a tour of Bolton\'s curry houses.

I\'ve had to leave off doing anything on him due to a number of reasons:
I\'ve been working in a rather Dark biased colour range of late and need to work on a couple of \'Lighter\' items first.
Tired eyes.
A bit of \"stage fright\" as all the previous work is of such a high quality I want to make sure I can get close to the same level.

I hear you and understand fully Mike. I\'d be deathly afraid to get anywhere near him with a paintbrush myself. I\'m hoping to pick up the brush and paint for the first time in months myself sometime this week.

Take your time, paint when you\'re ready. I usually start working on a few pieces that are experiments or that I don\'t care too much about, then if ithe paint if flowing well and my hands aren\'t too shaky I move on to the important pieces.... ;)

I\'m getting round to him.

Personal circumstances over the last couple of months have taken priority over painting.

I\'ve a couple of commissions to complete, which might be in the situation of finishing them this weekend.
Also an item or two to photograph and then it\'s Alphonse himself.
I want him completed before I do a figure (or two) for Salute 2006.

Understood Mike... you\'ve had a lot on your plate the last while. Get to him when you can. Just wanted to bump the thread since it hadn\'t seen any action in a while.

I started one of my own.. not nearly as pretty as the one you folks have painted though....

What\'s this We? You can\'t possibly mean me.

Anyhow He\'s another step closer to getting done as I\'ve managed to paint two figures in parallel stages today.
That should mean that I could have him painted within a fortnight. (If I can find him of course, he\'s taken a great liking to the local curry houses. ;) )
