HOW WE DOING??

The cool thing about this thread, is you can let it die for awhile and then go back and \'assess\' yourself.

I had several goals I had listed, trying to paint more, organizing my painting room, learn how to take better photos, play a game of warhammer, and crack the top 1000.

I am painting a little more regularly, so that is good.

My painting room is starting to take shape.

I am learning things about my camera, and am getting a handle on it.

No warhammer yet?:(

I cracked the top 1000!! I think I was around 1500 when I wrote that, so I guess that is some sort of achievement (at least in me lil brain!!)

How have you done???

I didnt post any targets initially but I will go with:

Learn to use my friends camera and post a mini

Finish assembling and painting my tomb kings (1500 points) army

Finish painting in army colours a 1500 point eldar army (rather than the rainbow effect I currently battle with)

Hey Supervike, I was thinking of a good way to help you out with your \"playing a game of warhammer\" goal. Something like: If the Packers sweep the Vikes you drive to Wisconsin for a game, if the Vikes sweep the Pack, then I drive to Iowa for a game. If they split, your goal goes unfulfilled for another year. Just a thought, so don\'t hold me to it yet....

Now that is a good thought!! If that doesn\'t come to fruition, I do believe we should at least have a \'friendly wager\' on the series....

1)post a completed mini(no more WIP stuff)
2)Get a better camera
3)Start my entry for a local painting comp(pretty confident about my chances if I get off my lazy behind and get to it)
4)put together a difficult model without drawing blood.(Do they make idiot proof X-acto\'s?) <--Ive gotten to the point that I feel no pain when I hurt myself(Good thing?)
5)post my pic in the PYP thread and my trash heap..er I mean desk in the How do you contain them thread(I got the pic but dont have the ambition)
6)Paint my Ultramarines/Start my Beasts of Chaos army
7)Stop setting goals and try and accomplish them:D

On an off note, Why do my posts always seem to go on and on and on? BAH Im doing it again....

I don\'t rush anymore, I actually have two(!) minis over 8.0 and I have a huge commisssion work! Wohoo, I met my goals! New goal: To win a painting competition.:cool:

I\'m good at STARTING to paint things....lol

Oh, and to do a 9+ mini........ if my p155 poor attention span will allow this....

UPDATE My son graduated in June with a half a credit to spare. He has now enlisted in the Air Force on the delayed enlistment program and is waiting for his spot to open up so that he can go to Basic training. I am a very proud father!
2) Complete the unit of Trollkin for my Mercenary Warmachine army. ( A unit of 6 trollkin plus Boomhowler. three are completed and sealed. It took me a month to get them that far)
UPDATE My Mercenary army was completed and has run in multiple tournaments since May. I have picked up 3 best of faction awards with them.
3) Paint Irusk for my Khador Warmachine army in time for the May 29th tournament. I dont know if I\'ll run Khador or Mercs at this one so I want my options open.
UPDATE Irusk is still not complete. There is a blemish on the face that I cannot remove without removing alot of the details. I am still trying to determine how I am going to fill it. As far as the tournament went, I ran the Mercenary group and came out of it with a 3-2 record. It alos won best of faction. I have since been in two other tournaments where I have been specifically REQUESTED by the promoter (Press Ganger) to field my Mercenary army. I must say the certifacates look good on my wall! ;)
4) I also want that elusive 8 on CMON
UPDATE As I have not posted an entry in a few months I doubt I will get this one any time soon. I became a little discouraged when some of my best work to date barely registered a 6 and al lof my older work was registering in the 7.7 to 7.0 range. I was going backwards. I will post a few pictures a little later today though just to see the situation still stands as it wasor if it has chagne at all.
and last but not least
5) Enter Super Freakdom with the people who signed onto CMON about the same time I did. I am way behind some of you guys! lol
UPDATE As can be seen I have not been as active on the boards as I used to be. Work has been absolutely brutal and as most of my work is on computers, I have a hard time looking at one during my leisure time. This has meant that I have had more time to paint and have amassed a quite large amount of WarMachine minis that are painted and are winning me tournaments. lol
I will come back to the fold shortly, just as soon as work permits.

Finaly I have some goals I want to accomplish:

1. Learn how to do deacent NMM.

2. Start (and finish) my Lion/Dirz oasis diorama.

3. Finish the x-mas present for my boyfriend.

Alrighty then, I\'ll set some pretty lofty goals for myself.

1. Come back from both GD Canada and GD Chicago with at least a bronze.

2. Get an 8 or higher on any mini

At least the second one gives me some extra time to work with. lol

I actually only want to finally post my Formor Fiend. And maybe that guy will even get a good score, but I still doubt that ;)

And even better to hear that, with the exception of work:(, things seem to be going well. COngratulations on the son getting through alright. You have the right to be a Proud Poppa :D
HOme things settle out for you soon so that you\'ll come back to the Insane Assylum more regularly. :bouncy:
