Aye, but normally with you guys in the role of Goliath lol
Um, didn\'t we beat the All Blacks a couple of times :p?

Aye, true enough, but that was under Laporte with a few Grand Slams under his belt. It\'s hardly as if you were rubbish! And the time before was a cracking French team and one of the best second-half performances EVER. Incredible it was. Oh, 1999! What a joyful year! We beat you in Paris that year :D

I\'d like to say though, that if France click, it could be a horrible night for Wales. Crazy team...

Normally I don\'t like it when \'they\' start messing about with traditional fixtures and the like, but I\'ve got to say I\'m right looking forward to a night on the sofa watching what I hope is a cracking game.

Mate of mine reckons France will get annihilated. I think he\'s wrong.

Cracking game. Had it all. Wales should have been ahead in first half, played some majestic stuff.
France dominated second half, missed a few kicks yet Wales could have pinched it at the end had Gavin Henson not seen the headlines in the paper heralding his triumphant return.

Great evening\'s entertainment.

God, didn\'t France play well! Best since the QF against NZ in the RWC in 2007 (if you know what I mean lol). Fair play, on the basis of that second-half France deserved it. My heart was in my mouth at the end. France stepped up to a level i thought they just weren\'t capable of. Whether that\'s the France we\'ll see the next two years is a moot point - they upped their game against us and deserved it.

My hunch that it\'d be a two-score-win was looking possible (even likely) at 10-up, even at 7-up, but when they scored that try I knew we\'d be lucky to win :(.

I feel that Wales are a bit one-dimensional at the moment. We lack a spark across the centre and half-backs. I hope Peel and Hook play against Italy, and perhaps Henson and Shanks or Henson and Bishop. Time for a change and time to try and score some tries in case a couple of teams end up on 4 wins/3 wins, whatever. We\'re not scoring enough! :wow:

Well, you\'re a gracious loser squire. Hats off to you.

Aye, Peel was class and I rate Halfpenny highly as well.

Surprised to see you on here so soon. Time heals... or is the alcohol still in the old system and proving a suitable anodyne? lol

A very tough and stressing game that could have gone both ways IMO. I think that the tie at half time made the psychological difference for the french team.

Aye, I was up pretty early the nest day as there wasn\'t that much imbibation. I\'ve never felt so down after a match though, i have to say. I know that we\'re a better, more intelligent team than we showed, but France wanted it more and thrived off of our mistakes (mistakes they forced us to make to be fair). That we almost squeaked it at the end was quite upsetting lol

Greenstuff - you\'ve summed it up mate ;). That try on the stroke of half-time was crucial.

Ireland v England was attritional. Ireland were nervous and England again lost because of their own issues with discipline (though O\'Gara\'s loss of form with the boot helped keep England closer than they should have been at times). They\'re improving, the Red Rose!

I missed the Scots match against the Italians as I was in Tesco. Not good! lol

I watched the first 30 minutes of the Ireland game and then gave up and went to bed because I got bored of watching aerial ping pong...what ever happened to tactical kicking for touch??? majority of the kicks were to the hands of the fullback or whoever he was with and weren\'t even followed up.

I didn\'t bother staying up until silly o\'clock in the morning over here to watch the Scotland game after that.

That one period in the first half.....must have been 12-16 kicks back and fore. Ridiculous!

hate it when it gets like that. i like to see running with the ball

thats the prob with england, they hold on the ball rather than pass it down. eejits go down then and loose the momentum

It\'s painful being an England supporter at the moment... at least we\'ve score plenty of tries this time round though as a consolation.

I\'ve never seen O\'Gara bottle it so bad. I think he can forgot about a starting place on the lions now. We really scrapped through there. O\'Driscoll pulling a big game out of the bag along with the english disipline problems contributed major to the win.

Scotland next, which I think we should win, Wales then which I think we shall not. All comes down to points difference between France, Wales and Ireland for the championship.

England are - if nothing - hard to beat at the minute. Whether they can be winners is interesting. I suspect France\'ll roll over at Twickers and lose. Ireland to squeak the Scots match, Wales to squeak the itlain match (I hate playing them - either stuff them or lose/draw!).

Final weekend, points difference, Wales v Ireland, Wales to rob the Irish of the GS, Championship and TC! Oh, that would be cruel!
