A tight start for Wales this year in Scotland. Who knows what the table will look like at the end of the first weekend? I would not be surprised to see French, Italian and Scottish wins, but flipside I would expect Ireland to squeeze France at home, England to do the same against Italy and also Wales to come through late on. Saying all that, I\'m clueless. This truly is an open opening weekend if you catch my drift.

I like the Welsh team on paper - very good to see Halfpenny and Roberts starting and very good to see yet more consistency in many key positions.

Anyone brave enough to call the final positons?

I don\'t think much of England at the mo, but an opening win is the key. We showed that last season - after a crap World Cup we went and did the slam. Saying that, we had what was regarded as a tidy team poorly coached. England, to me, look shorn of all their old talent. I can\'t see them winning.

Declan Kidney, ex-Munster coach, could get Ireland into a championship-winning position perhaps. Could be interesting to see how the Leinster players take to him.

France are confusing. Are they good or not? They should be because they\'re France, but the past 3yrs they\'ve been average. A strange team.

Scotland are strengthening up nicely, but do they have a cutting edge?

Italy - always solid, potentially a banana-skin for any team on the right day...and potentially the opener against England.

Well, we\'ll see. It\'s my favourite sporting and drinking time of the year :) :drunk:

I don\'t have high hopes for England this year unfortunately. I think Rev\'s boys will do the business again this time round... Still... it\'s a top time for grabbing a few beers and yelling at the telly :D (I\'m yelling at the radio at the mo... Forest v Derby.... feck, I\'m getting stressed!!)
