I recently bought some of those old armory paints cheap. Some nice colors and I don\'t find them to be that bad. Maybe they just need to \"age\" on a shelf for 20 years before they are usable? lolOriginally posted by Valander
Waaaay back (like in the early \'80s), Armory had a line of paints. I tried these, and they were, without a doubt, the worst paint I\'d used up to that point. Thinking back, I still think they were the worst paint I\'ve ever used.

I\'d agree, particularly with respect to nearly any Vallejo red. I\'ve tried several and not only do they cover poorly, they appear to be unusually fragile, almost as if the acrylic isn\'t polymerizing like it should. Might be a chemical interaction between the acrylic resin and the pigment itself; I can\'t think of anything else it could be...
