Hey, have you guys seen the new Thor movie?

I think it comes out in our area tonight. Marvel's been doing a pretty good job with the movies lately....I hope this one pans out well!

Lovely work there. The green really works.

And I have no idea what a "meldrew" is, but I'm all for it.

This is a Meldrew:

British show called 'One Foot in the Grave' . Victor Meldrew is a cranky (but loveable) retiree. He's also damn funny.

Because thread-jacking is any different than normal conversation? Given, there are those rare times when you manage to have a deep conversation that stays on one course. Most of the conversations I'm in take a weird turn multiple times. I used to be frustrated by this, but then realized people are going to talk about what they want to talk about. Why get angry about it?

As for the Meldrew's of the world? Eh, they're good for poking fun at.

I don't support thread jacking in any way shape or form, not me, not this clean livin' man. In fact, i'm going to contribute by keeping on topic.
My favourite flavour of all the flavoured candies is green.

Hope that answered your burning question. For all other burning issues, please consult your GP.

As a Moderator, I'm hardly ever picky about thread jacking in the 'general discussion' area. Especially, if it is just following the conversation that is being had. In other sections, I guess I'm a bit more strict on it.

However, I've been on forums where if you werent' discussing the the topic, the mods slammed it shut. Those places suck.

Pickles make baby Jesus cry.
The bath mat should not be wet.
Dogs barking. Can't find umbrella.
Plan 9 From Outer Space makes perfect sense with the right chemical mix.

Yeah but she didn't thread jack - the topic was thread-jacking. Now if she started talking about how someone turned her into a newt...

wait - wa-huh? Staying on topic is thread jacking? I'm even more confused than I was after your post in the lovecraft thread.
