Not sure what to say, feels like it's not glowing enough. What I think is I can see before doing the free hand maybe a wash on the area and spreading out a bit and/or before you do the white drawing do a bit larger black drawing under so you have a demarcation. You can even spice it up with a nice OSL on the feet and lower part of the dude. That is only what came to my mind while I was looking at it.

Teronus and Gandalf you were both spot on. The circle just didn't pop as much as I wanted it to. I've taken your advice and outlined in leviathan purple. Added a OSL and as I didn't like the colour, glazed over with Valejo flame red. I found a tube of fluorescent orange I'd been using on my Avatar of Kaine so I've been highlighting in that. It still needs another pass of orange and I may pick out some hotspots in yellow but I think I'm one the right track now. Cheers to you both.

Awesome :good:

Yeah that's sick!!!!!!! I might be tempted to add some glazes of your lightest yellow out side of the lines too. As if the light from the pentagram is hitting some ground mist. I really want to see it with teh demon back on there!

That touch of yellow could blow this out the water, brilliant stuff mate. The spots of white may not be needed but once the yellow is applied then you will be able to tell.

its hot but it can be hotter! more contrast in some spots you could even get close to white, like dots where the lines meet etc. depends how hot you want it though.
anyway, great job!

I agree it's a fantastik job...Ide myself would be tempted to execute 2 more steps 1st the yellow that demi suggested and 2nd what skells said about the white spots where the lines intersect ...this is a really great job that's been awhile to get to fruition but the time and patience has paid back much dividends in terms of great results...nice no,really nice job darth.

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement guys I really appreciate it :highfive: Im definitely going to go at least one stage higher by adding a yellow, yellow/white highlight to the circle and I'll go around again and deepen the purple a wee bit to help it pop a little more. Ive also got a few dayglow pigments on order and I'm hoping they will really help the overall OSL.

I've run into a new problem though, My wife asked me the the other day just how much I spend on hobby equipment, paints etc. I don't think she was that impressed with my "Er, um, well, er......"

Hi,

Jajajajajaja. Man, this is a great problem, have you think on a surprise present?

On the arcane symbol I would work on it as a mix between an OSL and a NMM... Anyway, the work you are doing is fantastic and pic by pic it looks better.

Many thanks,
Mariano.

Amazing work in this thread. And the symbol looks amazing in the last stage. OSL is simply brilliant - extremely realistic look. We will be interesting to watch on ...

Thanks guys.

It's ok Mariano I got two days hard labour (gardening and cleaning outside so we can chill in the sun) she's happy with that so I'm off the hook :)

My day glow pigments arrived today and I've added them to the general area and OSL and I have to say I'm really happy with the result. Glazed some more purple into the recesses and highlighted the circle in fluorescent yellow as recommended. The flourecent paint is a bugger to photograph but it really pops IRL. Now I've got to paint the glow onto the demon, add shadows where his legs would block the light and then it's onto the sorcerer, the water effect and it's done!

any thoughts?
