Yeah. I fell that I am stronger. I can say/hear/read/ the word and not get offended when I am using the it to educate people. My Korean friend here is really into Hip Hop. Nigga is a common word in Hip Hop. I explained the meaning of it and nigger as best as I could. Why? So many people do racist thing here and use the excuse \"I didn\'t know. I don\'t get exposed to different people\" So I educate him, and other people, by not being overly sensitive about the word. You can’t educate by saying such Seaseme Street things as the “N” word. What word would that be? Noodle? Nod? Nookie? Noble?
As for not pissing people off…YOU WILL ALWAYS PISS PEOPLE OFF. People will get offended by something someone does or says. It will be a cold day in Hell before that stop happening.
Example: My mother is American. She is a black woman. She hates being called African American. She wasn’t born in Africa. Our family history says her grandfather was black and her grandmother was full blooded Indian. Or Full blooded Native if you are in Canada. She hates Afro-American too.
She would rather just be called American.
I’m not even going to get into the time my wife’s best friend got chewed out because he referred to someone as a black guy. After the girl finished going on her rant about the guy should be called African-American the black guy in question says,’I’m not African. I’m not American. I’m from Spain.’ The girl felt like a complete idiot and stormed off.

<<I completely agree with showing respect. I asked what he wrote that was so bad. No one answered me. I later see it wasn\'t the \'Brown Giant\" title, but the \'Nigger Giant\' title was wrong. It was offensive. Maybe he was part of his shock paint style. No one truly knows what he meant because he hasn\'t spoken.

I can let this roll off of my shoulder as well but why not educate someone. What is wrong with respecting someones feelings? This world would be a better place if we all took a moment out to think about our actions and stop pissing off each other for something so simple. Not a lot to ask really is it?
