A few used by sports pundits are:

\'at the end of the day\'

\'basically\'

\'to be fair\'

Then there\'s a few of my pet hates:

\'moorish\'

\'let me tell you something about...\'

\'CCG\'

If I hear this one more time...

\"Kann ich ja nicht wissen!\" meaning something like \"How should I have known that?!\" constantly used by someone I know in situations when they most definitely did know.
Ugh, drives me nuts!:flame:

Oh yeah, the word \"dunderhead\", blech! Horrible!

\"new & improved\"

\"...and MORE!\"

\"...literally...\" as in: \"I literally jummped out of my skin!\" Uh, no-o-o-o-o. You FIGURATIVELY jumped out of your skin.

\"Trust me,...\" I don\'t think so.

\"at the end of the day\"

I\'m really getting sick of hearing that form politicos and pundits trying to explain away a major f*** up.

\"Pacifically\" when they mean \"specifically\"

\"Well, basically\"

Any verbose padding added to try to make yourself sound smarter or more dignified annoys me, but those are the worse.

When are people going to learn that they would sound a lot smarter if they didn\'t pad their sentences with unnecessary crap?

\"get a real Life\"

\"have a nice day\"

\"your to old to understand\"<-----from the teenager:mad:

* \"What--Ever\"
( Yes,I have a teenage daughter)
* \"DUDE\"
(Yes I have teenage sons as well)
* \"Yer one fart smeller!\"
(One of my sons who likes to play NTN trivia with me at our local sports bar and grill says that just about every time I get a trivia question right and he misses it. It was funny the first time he did it, but after 6 months I\'m ready to throttle him if he even thinks of saying it! :mad: (For those that don\'t quite get it, its a derivation of \"Your one smart fella\")
EDIT
I almost forgot one.
Anytime anyone hears my last name and starts doing the Addams Family Theme song, along with the finger snaps. These people are SOO Original. Like I havenever heard that jokebefore in my life! :flame:

\"You do the Math\"

I don\'t wanna do teh math! You do it for me! I don\'t have a calculator.. Worst is when people say that and it has no mathematical context. Example:
\"I was out late last night and I had to get up at 7:00, so you do the math...\"
There\'s no math involved there!! Maybe if you gave me a variable, y\'know.. X=Sleep Hours Y=Time to get up.. something!!

And \"cold enough for you?\". No. I like the cold, I want it so cold my breath freezes in mid air. I want to feel my blood chill to the consistancy of a slushie I my veins, could you do that?

Sheesh, at least when I make up a catch phrase people are aware it is intended to make no sense.
Fish. :p

Yes. Yes, we could... ;) Apart from several blatantly racist chestnuts I get to deal with on a regular basis, \"cold enough for you\" is the most obnoxous thing I routinely hear. Almost as bad is the phrase \"nice day\" when it\'s -40F after the wind chill and I\'m stumbling through knee-deep snow.

I hate the phrase \"youse guys\" and I hate the guys that say it.

NOw, wait a minute! Okay, I can see where TwelveMilesOut hears \"cold enough for ya\" regularly. He lives in flippin\' Alaska! But, come on, Chris, when the hell is it EVER cold in El Paso ??? What? Do they ask you that whenever it plummets below 70 ??? :D
