not here!

We are having the strangest weather here in my home state.

Usually August is hot and humid, but it has been cool and mild. At night, it has been dipping down to the upper 40\'s F, perfect sleeping weather....

I could even see my breath the other morning...more typical of October than August. Global warming? Not here...

It\'s always too hot here to post, but that\'s what A/C is for. :D

I will say it\'s been a rather mild summer. We\'ve only hit the triple digits once so far. Normally by now we\'re on month two of triple digits with no rain.

Quoting supervike, not here!

Although when the tempreture gets higher than 25 C, people start freaking out here saying how bloody hot it is. To me, it\'s hardly warm :p

Had beautiful weather in Maine

Vacation in Maine is over, so now I can get back to the internet. We had gorgeous weather for the entire week. Of course, it was foggy out at sea the day we went whale watching, so saw nothing, and got extremely wet & cold. C\'est la vie. I took some painting stuff, but the light in the motel was so bad I gave up after an hour, so now I have to sign off and go paint to take care of my withdrawals.

:cool:Jack

The humidity is the worst! I think I could cope with the heat if it wasn\'t so moist in the air.

Hold on a moment 2 years ago when I was out there in Newcastle/Sydney at this time of year your so cold winter was warmer than the average UK summer and we made a point of wearing shorts all the time lol
In fact if I remember correctly you lot were complaining because you hadn\'t had any rain!

I think that is biggest killer of the weather we are having at the moment it was 88% humidity here the other day, way to much for me without a nice cool breeze.

Hot & sticky.....but this is really about the weather right?

...me wanna sleep ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz No energy......no strength.....no idea..... :(

I\'ve been prepping models (that\'s my version of painting right)...used to paint 90% and prep 10%, now its the other way around since CMON.

I\'ve just been sat out in the garden waiting for my models to dry and it\'s been drizzling. Feels sooooo nice.... :D

PS Hmmmmm..that\'s about most moist post (silly!) I\'ve ever done :innocent:

In the last 30 or so days we have had may be 5 days with out torrential rain and it does not seem to stop. We had 7\" rain in the first 5 days of August. Now there is a low pressure in the gulf.... I work outdoors and will have slim pick ens as far as billable hours next month. When it is sunny the ground is so wet it is like being a steamed shrimp, you can feel and see the steam off the streets.
..........Walking away ranting.......

like me ma said, its been raining for such a long time now...

i feel moderatly bad for the torists (sp?) the come for the beach and sun and stay in their hotel rooms for the rain), but when it is sunny, its hotter than hot. and i dont do that degrees C thing, how hot is like 28c or something, is there like a rule of thumb or something?

Currently it\'s thunder storm brewing hot here. My poor little dog is suffering due to the heat and the fact she can\'t find a cool spot anywhere in the house.

I\'ve just finished painting a figure for today. darthfoley\'s high elf and am waiting for the varnish to dry off, about another 10 seconds. Then I\'m gonna photograph him.

No-one is gonna see him before it\'s in darth\'s \'grubby\' hands. lol

Well I am sat in the garden browsing the site (It\'s hotter in doors - my house retains the heat very well). Shandy on hand, and a good covering of wasp away to protect myself from the scary beasties.

I love wireless networking!

@Dragonsreach : Not looking forward to work , BBC says 88% humidity up there tomorrow :(

Does anyone know what use wasps are ?

Don\'t start me on wasps.....I had one in my ear for 20 minutes when I was a kid. Can you imagine the nightmare that was? I bet you weren\'t close, so at least quadruple it! As you can guess, they aren\'t my favorite creature these days.

Shaz

P.S I think Wasps and fleas are the only creatures i would be happy to see extinct
