Walmart and Home depot have those self checkout things by me. I worked at HD when they were installed, and the system is pretty theft-proof. You have to move each item you scan from one side of the scanner to the counter on the other side. There are scales built into the counters, and the weights must match after scanning, and the system knows how much each SKU weighs, so no price-switching either (one of my old favourites). Walmart however, is not so sophisticated, and I know someone who gets over on them all the time.
I like Broccoli and mushrooms, stalk and all. I just tend to get a little.. ah... \"musical\" from them
Best trick for a free lunch. The deli dept in the supermarkets around here always show you a slice of coldcuts before cutting the rest, and after you approve of the thickness they offer you a slice. Order about 15 different meats and cheeses, each time eating the free slice. Then just discreetly dump the ordered items on a shelf. You have the right to change your mind; instant FREE lunch!
For you guys doing all this cutting and peeling in the aisles, why not just eat all the stuff while your there? Put some meat on a couple slices of bread and your done. It\'ll save you money AND save you the hassle of having to cart the $hit home.lol
