Well Eric, you would\'ve had two marriage proposals after that picture post if I thought Scott wouldn\'t see it! ;)

Don\'t worry dawn, I\'d never tell!!

Now mind you, that\'s not my deck or my view, I\'m not that rich (yet ;) )

If I were to take a picture now, you would see a German bus and believe me, there are far better views. OK, the bus just moved, now I could take picture of the tax office. Imagine a grey lump of concrete and that\'s about it.

For some reason I am getting the feeling that my view sucks.

This is an interesting thread

This is the view from my work space. All of the Imagery in the Beach Boy\'s song\'s about California is instantly recogniseable in this photo. Multiple times a day, Buxon girls from Baywatch run by my window (in slow motion, of course). I know, I know, you all are jealous. Sorry, only a few get THIS good of a view.

I live about an hour north of San Francisco in Santa Rosa CA. This is on the southern end of the major \'wine country\' of California. A few interesting facts about Santa Rosa. The famed botanist Luther Burbank lived here (my grandmother used to talk to him when she was a child). The same grandmother\'s father was Jack London\'s barber. During the 1906 earthquake we were actually hit harder than San Francisco. It was the fire that really wiped them out. Robert Ripley (Ripley\'s Believe it or not) is buriec here.

Try hitting the small button that has a pic with an arrow next to hit to put up a picture, works fine for me. Otherswise put the pictures\' URL between [IMG.] [/IMG.] ( but without the dotes. )

And some pretty cool pictures there, I\'m definetly adding sweden to my list of places to go visit :p

Yes. Correct the adress:

There was a \"tob\" behind the whole link.

EDIT: Now that was disappointing. The image does not exist.

OK, I triec it AGAIN and it still didn\'t work. Took the \'tob\' off, still nothing. I uploaded the images to photobucket then immiediately tried to put it up on CMON. Does photobucket have a waiting time till the image\'s go active. I looked in photobucket and the images are there. Frustrating. It\'s not that this old dog can\'t learn new tricks, I just get tired of the never ending learning of new tricks with computers.

Santa Monica

Santa Monica Pier

I used to live in an aprtment RIGHT by the pier, on the sand. Too tiny for family life though, and moved inland 2 miles.

I miss being able to walk to the hot dog on a stick in my pajamas.

For the Europeans, perhaps you remember the german tourists about 4 years ago that were shot and killed when they wouldn\'t give up their wallets? That was right out our back door!

Margo, I was hoping you\'d post on this thread, you live in one of my favorite cities in the world. Although I haven\'t traveled to as many places as I\'d like, I think it will be hard to top my experiences while I was there!

Post more! :)

I really do! I was in a long relationship with a russian woman a few years ago, so I got a personal tour of the city. It was a wonderful trip, although I\'m sure if I went again it just wouldn\'t be the same, in large part to the fact I don\'t know anyone there like she did, and I only know about 50 words of russian so wouldn\'t get around quite so well alone. I do enjoy seeing your photos though, it\'s great to bring back memories of the place! :)

Oh, so you must have seen quite a bit of the city! What did you like the most?
And by the way forgot to say it earlier, I simply loved the pictures of where you live! Wanna switch? lol

Hmmm, I think I\'ll keep my sunny beaches for now, maybe once Moscow thaws out a bit we can talk about switching :D

I did see a lot of the city, although I think what I enjoyed the most was getting to be a part of the culture, meeting the people (mostly in clubs or dinner parties), and enjoying life MUCH different than what I was accustomed to in the US. That is something I think if I went again without a close friend who knew the place, I probably would not see as much of. Unfortunately I am so bad at names to say my favorite sites, perhaps I\'ll scan some photos of the trip and you can give me the names :)
