Good lord man you'll fad away to a shadow. Umm a big weighty shadow... You know painters die when the pile is exhausted? Cheapest form of insurance is always buy 3x what you've completed in the past month. Immortality - cheap at twice the price!

Haha that didn't last. Elly wanted to go to the GW store. I got more stuff.

OK - so here's how it went down LOL
I went with Jeff (Elly) to our local GW store because he wanted to talk to them about stupid high elves.
I was looking for a vampire to lead my army until it's big enough to field Vlad.
Flipping thru the counts codex, I saw that there is a mount option called Abyssal Terror. Mannfred the Acolyte on that would be perfect.
But GW doesn't make an abyssal terror!
The codex is pretty vague about what they look like, so I started perusing the fantasy minis for a suitable option.
Enter the Cockatrice. It's a good start.
With a little work, it'll make a good terror I think. How about you?
Still needs some gap filling, green stuff smoothing and a few minor bits (bit, reins, strap for saddle, etc).

Seriously cool mini and great idea. Of course, as soon as you finish it, GW is going to come out with one that you'll have to buy. But I think it will look great!
Now when you going to get a Chimera? That's one on my wish list. Why is everyone painting it blue?

I really hope I can get the Lord of Change wings to fit in with the original sculpt so they look less tacked on. Time to get creative.
