What KD contest? oops.

I watched the first season, then went ahead and started reading the books. Finished the first two before the second season started, and am about a third of the way thru book three. Things just keep getting crazier. It's an amazing series, and well written. I can't believe I missed it before.

Getting ready for my first game. Now I remember why I'm intrigued by games like Malifaux. Putting together all those grunts sucks.

Army painting and me parted ways not long after I joined up here. Games like warmachine, hordes, malifaux and freebooters fate are the way to go in the future for me.

Maybe a single warhammer and 40k army, but never a horde army again

I'll put some pics of Vlad up later, but for now I am basking in the undead's first win. Die ogre scum!

So Vlad is done and handed in, but not before I took some finished pics. I also got Mr Skeletor back and got pics of him too. I just need to get them off of the camera and color balanced. I'll have them up in a bit.

I also picked up some new GW paints - black and brown washes, all four glazes (red, green, yellow, blue), a red, a blue, and the liquid green stuff. Weeee!

Very nice Trystan! Although on my monitor, it appears as if the color balance is a little too much on the cool side, the pics have a bluish tint. But before you start messing with camera settings, maybe try running your monitor through some color calibration tests that are available on the interwebz. I haven't done mine for a few months now, so it's probably time for me to check it too. lol!

I really like the fangs and eyes on the vamp!

Love the purple and gold combo on the termi. Anything thy can one hand wield that stormbolter and bayonet must be nails!!

on the fine cast subject, I was in GW yesterday and it appeared that most of the blistered I looked in seemed pretty good. Not sure if it's a turning point but I had to buy grimgor ironhide

Purple and gold seem to go well with chaos marines...somehow.

Well I wanted to go with an Emperor's Children feel. And they're purple and gold. I got the skull from my leftover vampire counts bits.

My Vlad lost to another Vlad. Not sure how many entries there were, but hey. I will not be entering their may contest, as it's a whole squad, and the only squad I'm working on is not due until late July (hint hint).

This gives me some free time, and I had a look at what was sitting around primed. A Malifaux mini, KD's Twilight Knight (32mm), X'tacy, and The 72mm version of Sohpie from Reaper. So after some gallery browsing, a little wikipedia reading, and some google image surfing, I put down a skin base on Sophie. Nothing pic worthy yet, though hopefully I'll have something this evening to share.

I really like your vlad and i usually dont like purple but man that just looks great on that space marine. Waiting eagerly for these Sophie pics! Glad to see you up and going again!

I know it looks like nothing has really been shaded, but this pic was taken in my photo tent with good lighting on both sides. It's hard to get a decent pic at this stage.

I'm shading as if there is a strong natural light from the left, and then there will be more shading from the right as if from a secondary source, which will be blue.
