So we all know metallics can be tricky to photograph correctly in the best of situations. So please excuse the quality of the next photo. It's mainly to show that all the brass basecoating is done.

I really like this color. It's yellow on the edges, but turns almost silver in direct light. Definitely a color to play with TMM later. For now, only the left half of the torso is dirty.

On a side note - did some work on the base. Man, it's going to be awesome. Easily my most involved to date. But this mini is worth it, and I think it will really make a difference.

Its one of those pop together models from the dark vengence kit so pretty much have no choice but to pop it all together i found

Yep. There's two parts that aren't on it yet (the armor plate for the top of the claw hand, and the bit of armor around the middle. Those will be added once I've painted the areas under them. Nothing to magnetize though, all the stuff in the DV box (except for a few of the cultists) are fixed poses.

Yeah I LOVE this boxset! So far I put together all the bikes and they are snap together. I have thus far used 0 glue. Which is good incase I change my mind when painting the Dark Angels which should be starting this week. Now I need to get a few heavy hitters on both sides and build up my sets for next months 40k rematch.

A little update: metal is distressed, and the next phase of color can begin.

Also, a quick peek at the base. The rock the stock cast stands on is replaced by the wheel (with custom brake rotor), and the areas built up with milliput will blend in once groundcover is added.

Thanks guys. Though in the interest of full dsiclosure, there's a hellbrute already here on CMON that I am using as the basis for this paint. So while the execution is mine, a lot of the ideas paint wise are being borrowed from that guy.

I just did an inventory of my painting table, and it's depressing.
Unpainted minis: 310 (though to be fair, a large chunk of that is Sedition Wars @100~, and another large chunk is my VC army @100~)
Painted minis: 21

And this doesn't include the March deliveries of the other Sedition Wars bits (terrain plus characters @100~), Bombshell Babes (@20~), Reaper Bones (@250~), and then the June delivery of Relic Knights (@50~), and then Kingdom Death:Monster early next year (@60~).

Guess I have stuff to paint forever.

P.S. some of those things, even though only counted as 1, are large. Like the Coven Throne, or the Brass Scorpion, or the Terrorgheist.

Thank god i have managed to stay clear of kickstarters so far lol!

I think i have 50ish unpainted minis, most of those a half assembled dark angels army that most likely will get sold in a few days since i intensely dislike the new codex.

The coven throne i have had the hots for for quite some time, and the zombiedragon is super cool too.

But i have fallen in love with warmahordes, so that will most likely dominate my painting for some time to come.

Krule - I can't get them all. Although looking at that one, it's a shame I missed it. Ah well, I hope Tre will sell those at some point.

Next up - finish up the gun barrels, start the numerous horns.

Just a quick update. I think this is the first mini where I'm going to be sad when I run out of things to paint on it.
