That would be cool - wouldn't it? I wonder. There's plenty of tutorials out there on making your own star wars helmets. I bet you could adapt. Hmm.

I am giddy like a schoolgirl. No, wait, that's just the paint fumes.

And Talion - interesting. I saw he did a take on a chaplain helmet too.

That reminds me. A long time ago my dad made my brother a termie suit for halloween, Won first place too. I'll have to see if I can find pics somewhere.

Yeah, never liked that curved up bottom myself anyway, I'm not a great fan of the beakie to start with, no need to make it fugly as well. ;D

Looking good, but be carefull with the Armour your design so far is MK VII armour with a beaky head.

MK VI armour is different. For example the armour you have create has pipes at just above the waist this is MK VII MK VI (RT) does'nt have these. Also from the pics you appear to be putting in a seperate knee joint, again this that is MK VII armour, MK VI (RT) armour the leg part covers the knee.

MK VI (RT)

I likey so I'll Lighty

EDIT: The piece around the neck........have I seen that before on another Cassar construct. Looks like the Harlequin neck piece to me.........

Haha I love that pic.

And Talion - while the fluff may have stadardized later on, early on there was a lot of variations. I mean look - the pic I just posted has knee "pads" on what are obviously mark VI legs. He laso has a "Y" shape to the hoses on his chest, while the reference model I took pics of for Cass to use has more of a suspenders look. It's all going to be behind a stocky bolter anyways.

Wasn't sure if you were going for a duplicate of the original, or an interpretation. I know Cassar's not a huge 40k man, and needs a little nudging with some of the fluff stuff now and again (only a little bit though)

Thanks for looking out! I'm going for cassar's interpretation of the original. Something that's close, but has his touch.

im not actually doing the knee cap seperate i will be adding the long shin once im happy with the pose its also easier to do the joint ribbing that way. great reference stuff there lads brill job keep em coming:)

As for the little nick nacks i add on like the neck piece etc i like to do stuff that i feel is in tune with the sculpt also if it wasnt there the painter would have nothing but large detail-less blank areas to paint which is no fun and doesnt look good. trys if there's anything AT ALL YOU AINT HAPPY WITH PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SAY! i would be offended if you didnt. as for the rest o you lot, well you dont need any encouragement lol.

Once again talion, chrome excellent fluff usage , i know there's a few other lurkers out there following these builds too, for gawds sake stick your tupence worth in by all means the more the merrier.

ohh almost forgot the neck piece is borrowed from this and the dawn of war cgi
