So what were some of these cheesy lines then...?

I can\'t help it - I\'m intrigued :p

PS. The poster does look suspiciously like Dawson\'s Creek/The OC/Beverly Hills 90210/Hollyoaks/Any-other-Teen \"drama\" :|~

Aye. Remember \"I am legend\" and \"The dark is rising\"? At least \"I am legend\" is an alrightish horror flick if you haven\'t read the book (COMPLETELY misses the point, but hey-ho). \"Hollywood\'s version of \"The dark is rising\" is complete poo.

i agree with the fact that hollywood basically cant read, for instance if they wre cxonvertingoliver twist they would get halfway through and say: ok boy, thief, girl, lets do a crime detective drama!!

however, i found that the lord of the rings films wre actually better than the books, i just thought the books wre boring

All of the recent vampire movies that have came out are pretty much the same thing, kind of a lame throwback to how the 80\'s vampire movies were

bwahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!

sorry just a sec i coughed up my appendix on that one.

lol

Yep - me too. This makes 30 Days of Night look good!

About book/movie translations.... At the risk of being torn apart (by vampires) I did think Interview with a Vampire was well done. (not perfect, just done well).

I thought that the lord of the rings movies were good. Obviously they could have been better but I think they were some the better movies made based from books.

The only undead movies that are good are ones about zombies. I do not get why people are so mystified by vampires.

Amen to that. Goth culture is just plain old creepy. I mean, just because you wear makeup and an overcoat does NOT mean your more intersting in a dark secret sort of way. It just means you need more sun, and should maybe consider giving that coat a good wash. That\'s the thing about black, it shows dirt REALLY well.

Anyway, unless you\'re a teenage girl then you\'re not the target audience for this sort of schlock. It wasn\'t made for me so of course I am not going to see it, and probably would not enjoy it if I did. In the same way I think \"You\'ve got Mail\" was a big poo-fest.

Also Will Ferrel is a comic treasure. You guys, C\'mon! Cow Bell? Ricky Bobby? Step-Brothers? Man, I wouldn\'t want to live in a world without the Ferrel.

On a good note, my wife was dragged out to see Twilight and hated it. So in some small way I am pleased she past some sort of hidden test I had for her.

Well, I havent seen a new good horror movie in a long time, this I think is more in it for the goths and such, as well as the crazy japanpopculturekids (is that a word? ) with all their remakes and million sequels and not to mention the originals. Its not even original to have kids with black hair and pale faces anymore!!!!

This also goes for SAW, i watched the first three and i think, WHY? why not just leave it and try new things! I\'m guessing alot of kids like to see some grotesque violence but really 5 sequels?

As for twilight, a friend of mine saw it, he said he read the book.. altough he never said if he liked the book, or the movie. I actually never heard about that movie or the books until I heard him talking about it and watching a trailer on TV.
My first thought was that it could be really good, I mean Interview with a Vampire was a pretty decent movie. After reviewing IMDB (the source of all knowledge) the rating is at 5.3 and that is my standard for the B movies so no twilight for me =)=)

The only reason i would watch it.

If you\'re talking about having to go on a date then I\'m with ya. You\'ll have to endure many more horrible experiences then watching this flick in your lifetime in the name of woman.

But if you\'re just saying you would go to be near so many fawning teenage chicks with a vampire shaped hole in their hearts then I cry for you. Deep sobbing kid-with-a-skinned-knee tears.

I happen to be exactly 15 at this moment and have a lot of friends who are girls who have been obsessing over this for SO LONG!!!! OH MY GOD!! It\'s EVERYWHERE I LOOK ARGG. But I talked to some of them after they saw it and they said it was \"ok\" so no more obsessing!! :D

Hopefully they make a DVD collection of ducktales and fraggle rock (puppet one, not the animated)

Argh, stupid CMON loosing my post!

Here\'s the short version.

Fraggle Rock exists on DVD, it was originally out in individual seasons and has since been released in a boxed set with the entire series. The Bonus features are some of the best I have seen on a DVD and include great behind the scenes vids of Henson and the pupeteers.

http://www.amazon.com/Fraggle-Rock-Complete-Collection/dp/B001EL6EBS/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1227576638&sr=8-2

HUH just noticed something on the amazon.com reviews. It appears that this complete series is the only way to get season 4. How lame is that? For people like me that already own 1-3 - this really sucks!

OT: never heard of Twilight until one of my players brought it up at D&D this weekend. There are definately befefits to not having Television in your house. The pleyer had gone with his wife and got his money back due to the disruptive screeming teenagers. That\'s about all I noted from his review.
