UGH - hate the taste of paint!

Well, the first coat is done

And I waited to drink the glass of wine until it was done.

I think this was some of the best free-hand work I\'ve ever done! Didn\'t tape a thing and it looks pretty good.

Thank goodness a friend came over and helped or else I\'d still be painting. Now only an hour or so and I can start on the next coat - NOT! Grumb is stuck at work until possibly tomorrow morning and I\'m just too tired to try and finish tonight (especially after a couple of glasses of wine)!

I managed to not \"drink\" any more paint, but boy I did have a couple of head-spinning moments - until my friend opened a window. And Markus - we weren\'t even using the Zinsser, one of our personal favorites!! lol

Vallejo paints are alright...

... though some of my darker browns and greys have a slightly bitter taste. I\'m used to that by now, though.

Liquitex retarder is alright too, barely tastes anything, but stay clear of flow enhancer!! :|~ That stuff tastes awful!!!!!

Fortunately the Acrylics don\'t taste anything like household emulsion paints. Vallejo tastes better than GW and everything tastes better than Inks.
(Excluding the coffee brewed at work today, somebright spark washed out the coffee pot and scrubbed it with CIF (jif), but didn\'t rinse it out properly. :|~ I\'m very glad I drink tea at work.)

I beg tog differ on your statment about the \"Vallejo tastes better than GW .\"
As i had said in another thread, the Vallejo paints make my tongue feel numb. And they have a terrible flavor!!! But, the GW paints IMHO definitely taste better. Better yet would be the reaper

Well, second (and last!) coat is done and looks pretty good. Kept a door open this time and didn\'t...didn\'t...didn\'t *smack* have any problems with fumes. lol

As soon as we can take the sheets off the furniture I\'ll take a pic and post it!

Whilst playing paintball many moons ago, me and a fellow were trading shots at each other. Luckily I was wearing a full face mask (with slots in front of the mouth so you can breathe). Right as I stuck my head up to take a shot at him he fired. Right in the mouth piece. The ball broke and filled my mouth with paint. Bitter stufff.:|~:|~

I\'ve had that exact same thing happen Shawn, and you are right, that paint they use in them balls taste like sh*t.... The one I got hit with was yellow, so you can image what my teeth looked like afterwards..it was horrible...

Tell me about it...she put me to shame and I had to sit here and watch her do it. She\'s already better with greenstuff than me... She\'s getting ready to start painting her second mini... a Reaper female monk I think.

@Wolffang...if you\'ve been eating hardtack all day I surely would not want to be around you tomorrow...especially in an enclosed space... lol
