I\'m sorry Seb but I really don\'t understand this phenomenon. You do prime and varnish your minis right? So unless your minis keep falling off a table, I don\'t see how there can be a difference ... at least I never noticed itMessage original : SebastianRushworth
The paint sticks much better to plastic than metal. I\'ve never seen paint chip off a plastic model.

Back on subject : the only thing that really bothers me on the Autarch is the combination of the wings and the cape. Sure it\'s cool, but it doesn\'t seem very functional (and yes I know this is sci-fi/fantasy). I guess I\'ve just been watching \"The Invincibles\" too much

If they did use bits, I think they rather canibalized an avenger aspect warrior or exarque. But if Jess or Juan are behind this than I think they went for a direct sculpt (seriously beats taking out the hack saw).
That\'s not a conversion. Hardly has the shape and would be a lot easier to just sculpt it.Message original : Ebonbuddha
I see what you mean about the helmet. He could have been converted using this MODEL. It the Ultramarine Captain at hte bottom fo the page.
