I think Errex is in Mexico - where are you going down there - there are a number of us here in Texas, which isnt to far, as we measure things here, from most of Mexico.

As in:
\"where\'s the laundr-o-mat?\"
\"Oh, just 2 blocks from Mexico\" :innocent:

Can\'t wait :bouncy::flip:

I might forgive you for wasting best part of an hour of my time at GD but it will take at least 12 months...
Well I went up to the area I suggested but saw no-one who flagged at me. (Don\'t ask me what time I almost missed the awards ceremony with losing track of time.)
If it\'s any consolation, my Back & left Knee are still knackered and Yes I\'ve caught my Gamesday cold! But hey, suitable punishment!

Congrats to all the winners, I got all 4 of my entries through to the last ten, two of which were in the last 4 (boo hoo), I met Tammy Haye, luvly lady. She told me the plan was to meet at the information point at 12.30, no one turned up, need to make a definite plan for meeting next year, never mind, special congrats to Jakob, a great painter and a very nice chap.

Thats odd since we were all there at the information point around 12 to 12.30 - after that we all went to the pub.:D

Next year can is suggest that we all meet to head pubwards at the same information point? I\'m sure some of us will have met up by then in the Golden demon area but in order to pick up the newbies I suggest meeting there at 12.30.

To those of you who have not dealt with resin before, i.e. anyone considering getting the Dragon, you will need to drill and pin it lots!!! So a hobby drill is going to be a must! Each spine is seperate, the wings do not have the slots and pegs like normal plastic ones do so it\'s going to be great fun putting it together!!!:flip:

(I was expecting this, but some people who are not used to working with resing pieces might not be aware of this..)

Regards

Kat

Those of us who did manage to hook up included Kittykat, Tammy, SJB, Rammon, Jakob Neilsen, KingM (again! and yes he did have the big Black & Orange Case ),

Yes, I\'m just re-atttaching my arms after lugging that round all day

I was after one of those Tzar Boris models on the bear, but they sold out in minutes as their were only 8 available(!) Oh well..

Did I sign anything?

Individuals I remember are:

Guy who joked about my not being anybody and just filling up Dan Abnett\'s chair.

Guy who forgot Soul Drinker and was annoyed he had to buy Daemon World to get it signed.

Guy who got me to sign his Nurgle book.

Guy who got me to sign his Bleeding Chalice poster.

Kid who didn\'t have anything to sign but told me how great I was (it\'s worth it for those).

Plus a few who had a book to sign.

It was fun. I felt like someone for a while, even though most people just asked me when Bill King was going to be there.

Hi all!

Yeah it was a blast for sure... I also managed to make first cut with all four entries but holy malony! What a load of quality there was... Not to start a flame war or anything, but I heard quite a few people (not the most unknown persons either :)) say that the top twenty entries of the entire competition could easily have walked away with the sword in any other golden demon held elsewhere this year... I can only say that I agreed with the insane quality of the entries in general.... :D

My humble entries will be up at CMON within a few days.

It was nice to meet up with some of you at the pub and yes, everyone has been great there!

And Jo, don\'t forget to wash the entire resin figure (after putting it together) with some lukewarm water with dish soap with an old toothbrush. Resin always has some mold release residue onit which could ruin your paint coats....

High point....

I think the highpoint of the day for me, was getting Marijan von Staufer to sign my special edition Liber Chaoticas.

(If anyone wants a signed spec ed Slaanesh Liber Chaotica, I\'ll swap my spare for a spec ed Khorne one.):D

The quality certain went up this year across the board. The UK competition has often been criticized in the past for not having as high standards as the american competitions. I think this year that has definately been turned around

Yeah I won\'t, he\'s got a lot of dust and \"resin fluff\" on him so he\'s going into the bath for a bit of a scrub when I eventually get round to him.. :D Seems well cast though, no air bubbles, a few missing points on the teeth and horns, but nothing some greenstuff can\'t take care of.

BTW. while I\'m on the subject, is this dragon supposed to be the same scale as the normal GW dragons or is he collector series scale, inquisitor scale, what???

Not sure yet how I\'m gonna do the base/ general theme so any ideas welcome!!!

They are certainly supposed to be 30 mm scale (ie. Warhammer fantasy battle scale).

Thus do they wish to convey to us that *real* dragons are actually much larger than the ones you get in metal.

As for a base, make sure it is in 30 mm scale as far as detail is concerned.

Hi everyone,

I have never been very active in this forum, but meeting some of the Coolminiornot-people at Golden Demon makes me want to pop in and say hello.

Great meeting KittyKat, Dragonreach and lots of other people there. Sadly there is never enough time to have a decent conversation with everyone, but I did enjoy the ones I managed to fit into a very busy Games Day sunday.

Got back to Denmark late last night and will be unpacking and photographing miniatures as quickly as possible.

Best Regards,
Jakob Nielsen

Congratulations on winning the Slayer Sword Jakob!

If you have better pics than the ones on the GW site.... I for one would love to see them :)
