I\'m suddenly going through a moment of \'should I bother\' at the moment. I\'ve got a huge amount of inspiration for painting at present, and have lots of things I want to paint, but I have no desire to do things with GD in mind at the mo\'. Last year was bizarre - I had got some stuff already done, and thought I\'d take my chances - had no idea I\'d be even going to GD. This year I\'ve been more and more taken with getting another little pin (which is a fairly sad ambition, but I believe it\'s noble

), but as the day creep ever closer, I\'m finding myself thinking I really just want to paint things up on a \'when it\'s done, it\'s done\' kind of mentality. At this point, I\'ve got all the bits and pieces I need for about three or four entries, but they all need a lot of love and care - as an impatient sod, this is all rather foreign to my way of working! It hasn\'t helped that - much to my great suprise - folk actually like paying me to paint up stuff, which kind of eats away at the limited spare time I\'ve got...
The other bugger is that I\'ve never (ever) been able to concentrate on more than one project at a time - multi-tasking seems to be something other folk can do with ease, yet I\'m useless at it

.
So, I suppose we\'ll just have to see how things pan out - if it means taking a year off GD and having some half-decent stuff for 2010, that may well be how it\'ll work out. One thing\'s for certain, no way I\'ll be entering Duel this year - it\'s always my fave category, but with all you talented folks in it duking it out, I\'m more happy viewing and admiring (probably writing notes...) than doing it.
Man, that all sounds like I\'m on a downer, which isn\'t true at all! Don\'t think I\'ve ever been happier with a brush really
