Well, mines... interesting. Spanky is my nickname at work. I\'m a firefighter, and to give a little background, firefighters generally are pretty crass, pottymouthed, and generally nothing is too sacred. Its the nature of people being trapped together for 24hrs straight. nothing is personal. Anyway, I was hit by a car in high school and had to have extensive intestinal tract repair. Because of this my bathroom habits are frequent. When I was new, I had gone to the bathroom and my shift members were in the tv room and one questioned another as to why I went to the can so much. His reply was \"I don\'t know maybe he keeps spanking it\" Well that was it- Spanky was born. 11 years now with sign of changing. I\'ve embraced it. i\'m just glad for his choice of a verb at the time. I could be known as B*at off or J*rk off! Its in such common use now the only time someone uses my real name is when I\'m in trouble. But the \"offical\" answer for the outside world is \"I\'m name after Spanky from the \"Little Rascals\".

Multifracture

Ok normally (on the other boards) i\'m Chrispy but here that username (obviously) is taken. I used to play a lot of Unreal Tourny and was in a clan called the Celestial Badgers. Fractured was my name and then i got married and had a kid so I became multifracture because there was more than just me using the comp. Pretty sad i know and i wish it was interesting but never mind.

Side note my avatar is the sign for the Holy Grail from a Vertigo comic, Crimson.

Boringly Jon G is, like, um, my real name.

The avatar relates to my other online pseudonym - Max Von Deadlock. Play a lot of FPS (mostly Day of Defeat) and the group of mates I LAN with started using monickers from the great 2000AD strip ABC Warriors. I felt most affinity with Deadlock - Agent of Khaos - and the \"Max Von\" part came along a bit later when I decided to make it sound a bit more comedy German. It\'s stuck ever since.

You could replace the \"von\" with of: Max of Deadlock. Means exactly the same and won\'t sound funny for people outside Germany :D

I have told my story so many times that I am tired of it :D If anyone is interested, the origins of my name can easily be found in this forum.

DHS, just wondering, did you get ahold of
Dark Art Studios or London Ontario (a record publishing company) and ask them to change their name too?
Or how about Dark Heart Studios - programmers:

Or Dark-Art Studios a graphics design company.

You picked a name for your buisness that is very common. You should not be upset that others have the name, especially people who may have used it longer then you.

There is a reason my buisness is called Gilvan Blight\'s Trading Post, no one is going to use that.

BY THE GODS, YOU\'RE ANNOYING. Just let it rest, you are SERIOUSLY getting on my nerves.

OK, look, here\'s a deal: You tell me when you first started using the term \"Dark Art\". As soon as I find anything or anyone that used the term before you, you\'ll have to change your name to \"Annoying-the-crap-out-of-you studios\". Actually, that name has a Monty Python feel to it.
