Hello, I\'ve got some very very good acrylic paints in stock - paints for painting on canvas etc - I\'m talking here about the Golden brand: almost pure pigment, a fantastic product.
Could I use them for minis?
All infos most welcome

There is no rule about what paints to use and what not to use. Use what you have, if you don\'t like them, consider buying something else.

The Games Workshop, Reaper and Vallejo paints most people use here are all Acrylic.

Edit:A realy quick rule no matter what paints you use. Thin them down! One of the main reason acrylics are as popular as they are is the fact they can be thinned with water.

i would have thought they\'d be fine but, as gilvan said, make sure you thin them down. if they are proper artist\'s acrylics (i am not familiar with the brand) they should be very thick and will need a lot of thinning

Get some airbrush media or glaze media to thin them. To go from the toothpaste of the tube acrylics to the very thin layerings that we use requires LOTS of thinning. At that ratio, you have lost most of your binder as well. Use a some glaze media or a bit of airbrush media to put some binder and emulsion agents back into the mix.

Golden works nice for painting, i use their titanium white, bronze and buff all the time. But yes, thin them down as they are very thick. The tube kind are really thick and need alot of thinning.

Eric Louchard has a nice tutorial on painting skin with gel paints, and I\'ve used the method a few times with some success.

It\'s interesting to see, as the tubes are thick, that the initial layers require no thinning, and the subsequent layers require very little thinning------all the time the paint is still going on amazingly smooth.

Granted, they take a little getting used to, as they work much differently than a typical \"hobby\" paint.
