wow, great mini, very real. lots of little touches (like the dirt on the knee), but not overloaded. the colors are fantastic.

Did the vote thing. The weathering is great as is the base. The whole mini has a gritty feel like you would expect for a sniper. The only comment I have is the barrel of the rifle if flat.

Thanks for your comments For some strange reason, this mini was posted twice even though I only did it once. I have deleted the second image - the link I posted at the start of this thread is the correct one, so apologies if any of you managed to find the rogue one!

Exactly my thought! A set of molegrips and I\'d\'ve given her a 10 As it is, you\'ll have to settle for a 9 form me. Great work, Tooshy! The limited pallete and weathering are perfect for this one. Glad to see you back around again.

Thanks Dauber - if I could have made a teeny tiny pair of molegrips I would have added them! Mind you, looking at how the voting is going, I would probably have been marked down \'cos people would not have understood why she had them

I\'m slightly disappointed with her score - I was on a healthy 8.7 very early on and then dropped to 8.2 after 5 votes and now I have 62 votes but still at 8.2. I understand that it takes 50 votes to iron out any odd scores, but I\'m still disappointed.

There seems to be a big difference in what people think about the weathering I have put on her. I\'ve had some very nice compliments about it, but on the other hand, people have actively marked her down because of it.

When I looked at the model, her pose made me think she has spent time walking to her quarry, probably through a dusty/sandy environment and that her clothing should reflect that. I think if I had painted her absolutely immaculate, that would have been wrong also and people would have commented on it not being realistic. I guess you just can\'t win sometimes ??? :~(

Ah, there you go, Tooshy, trying to make sense out of the voting around here You should know better! There\'s just no pleasing some people. For some reason, especially when it comes to snipers. I don\'t remember who\'s piece it was, but I remember awhile back, there was a piece, a little diarama, with a couple of camoed snipers in the brush and one of the comments was that the figures blended in to the foliage too well. ??? ??? ??? Ummm.... camo ??? ??? So don\'t let it upset you too much. It\'s a really, really nice piece. There\'s just no accounting for some people\'s taste.

The only thing that really caught my eye is the interior of the cape seems to have a greenish glow around the legs. All in all thought I thought it was superb.

Hmmm....it could be the light making it look green there Airhead. However I know that the beige colour I used does have a slight green tint to it, kinda like rotting flesh type colour which may also explain it. Thanks for the comments though

@Dauber: Yup, silly me for trying to understand the voting! I\'m going to let it run its course and see where she ends up. As it stands she\'s currently still at 8.2 with 10 more votes. Maths has never been my strong point so I will remain blissfully ignorant and just enjoy the moment lol
