Watching Paint Dry

Thanks for posting such useful photos. Very subtle glazes, but the side-by-side reveals the visual impact they make.

The casting on Rackham miniatures was a bit hit and miss. They tended to overuse their moulds, so figures that had been in production for a while could be badly miscast at times. They used to be really top notch, but when they got really popular and the demand for their figures went through the roof they couldn't cope. Using moulds that had deteriorated far beyond acceptable and lacking QC regrettably became routine. A local shop here, that used to stock Rackham stuff, had to send back a lot of product each time they received a delivery.

Really, I'd no idea it got that bad.
All the figures I've purchased are all good quality, even the eBay ones.
Well I'm certainly not going to complain.

Going to be "Not Painting" until Boxing Day after looking after my dad. Need to sort out the emergency leave from work, means working all this week.
But a small sacrifice for looking after him.

Just passing by to let you know that your friend's wedding gift has been on the New and notable for a couple of days now. Congratulations ;)

Also I hope your father is fully recovered.

MEanas, thanks for the heads up and the comment.

I've just got back from being at my dad's this weekend hence the limited internet presence.
He's doing well and I think has benefited from a visit and a 'wheel' around the shops. ( Hired a wheel chair*)
99% of the bruising has gone just a touch of darkness under his eye socket.
The cuts on his forehead have healed nicely but have left fine scars which you can see but aren't glaringly obvious.

(* OK today's lesson, well Saturday's really, pushing a wheelchair around is apparently good exercise for the Gultimus Maximus muscles. 'Cos by gum mine ached on Sunday morning.)

Well, I'm about to start on my entries for SALUTE.
I was thinking of a single figure but having watched Sprokets entry develop (?????? Ooo-er missus) not even going to consider that now.

Watch this space for........"Damned if I know".
