This conversation took place between me and my wife who is six years younger than me. The other day I was singing a song.

“What are you singing?” my wife asked.

“The Cowboy Song by Thin Lizzy.” I replied amazed that she didn’t know the song.

“Who is Thin Lizzy?” she asked.

Later that night my wife and I were having dinner with some of her friends. I asked if any of them knew who Thin Lizzy was. There was silence. Then I sang “the Boys are back in Town”. They finally knew what I was talking about.

Am I really that old?

And in case you young ‘uns don’t know who Thin Lizzy is:

In the 1980\'s we called songs from the 1960\'s \"oldies.\" Those songs are still called oldies 20+ years later, and the contemporary rock from the 1970\'s and 1980\'s is called \"classic rock.\" It\'s all about the labels.

I think I can understand. My wife\'s mother didn\'t allow her kids to watch Saturday morning cartoons when they were kids. they could only watch disney animation. Saturday morning cartoons made children violent (which is funny because my wife has a bot of a temeper and its takes alot to get me pissed off.).

And a life that has not much too look forward too, being almost bankrupt,
And its still raining
Other than that I\'m really having a blast I remember Thin Lizzy though lol
