Well... Yesterday I spent about 3 hours blocking in all of the blue on 11 Space Marines... today I spent another 2 hours going back with black to tidy everything up, and did my secondary color, mithril silver, for the trim.
Next I need to start highlighting the blue. But, I\'m not sure how I want to go about it... See, I usually eyeball all of my ratios, so i don\'t have a specific recipe for the various layers of highlights... and I know my paint will dry on the pallete before I get through all 11 Marines.
I suppose it\'s time to start writing down my layer recipes -_-...
The fact that I have mixed GW and Vallejo bottles doesn\'t help...
\"One drop Ultramarines Blue mixed with *checks*... half a brush full of white... okaaay...\"
*sighs* I\'m also torn on how much time I should be spending on these figures, since they ARE my gaming army (my only army, for that matter..). I want them to look nice, but I don\'t want to spend abunch of time on them, only to see them get scratched up from playing.
Not to mention the number of \"oh, they\'re basic tabletop quality\" comments I have gotten... kinda depresses me. I even had one person comment that it looked like I drybrushed my highlights. DRYBRUSHED! :flame: I wanted to say \"That\'s 5 layers of highlights, bub!\" but I just calmed myself and walked away..
sorry...
