Hmm,

I guess it\'s time to update the shopping list I posted ages ago. Well, actually, nothing has changed much on it.

A digital camera
A new computer
More minis
More paints
A bigger house to store everything
A nice new suit of shining armour (that one came to me in this thread)

Is that so you can be my knight? :innocent: :( No it\'s for Donna. Oh well. I guess I have to settle for either Undave\'s pirate hook or Billy\'s rusty old chain mail

A Teac Hi-Fi System with built in iPod dock, CD player and DAB digital radio

eSHa Optima and eSHa 2000 aquarium additives

Arcadia 42\" reflector

Tickets for Hot Chip on 14th February at Leicester University

Several books, DS games and CDs

That\'s about it, gift-wise. I don\'t want any more minis, I have quite enough already, and still haven\'t finished several I got for Christmas last year ;) World peace would also be nice, but since that\'s never going to happen I\'ll just ask for a nice holiday period with my family - with some REALLY good food :D

Number five just isn\'t as fulfilling. It\'s a short term fix but unfortunately it can have the affect of \"unleashing the beast\". Once you have it you want more. I\'d rather be celibate until I find the loving supporting person to be with.

According to Modderhu though I have impossible standards. Didn\'t know asking for a handsome guy with a job and minimal baggage was impossible to find. Maybe that\'s my problem then <scratches head> Ah well . . .

Not sure if this is true overseas but here in Canada you can save a fortune by buying your books online through sites like amazon.com, chapters.indigo.ca etc.

On average the prices are about 60% lower then the price at the University and College book stores.

My wife has found that Ebay can be a good source for used books as well.

Yep, I get all mine from Amazon or Play, or 2nd hand through the college library. But they can still rank up and cost a good wack.

Luckily though anything I do buy, will last me for years and years so its a good investment really.

Ten years post degree and I still use my books pretty regularly, save the computer books which are near useless now. Even the first year basic stuff. The ONE book I got rid of (linguistics) I really wish I had back.

Course, I kept my books mostly out of spite. $100 for a used book, and they\'d pay $15 to buy it back only to turn it around next semester for $100 again. I\'d rather be out the $85.
