What is your favorite small time mini company?

I noticed the \'size strangeness\' recently when I got some minis from Tab (thanks Tracy!). The Haniel and Toxic Mistresses would fit in with any 28-35mm army, but the Brood Sawblades were HUGE! They look like they could almost be 54mm.

Still, you gotta love those Freebooter booty\'s. ;)

Then again, Hasselfree has got some pretty nice ass-ets... :D
Damn credit problems! I wonder if Kev would take cash stuffed in an envelope...

So I was over in CMON store looking at the freebooter mini\'s and boy are the expensive it looked like $10.50 was the cheapest mini. And that is for just 1 mini. That is out of my price range right now, unfortunatly. :(

I really wanted to get that lovely Chaos Sorcerous sculpt too. :(

But the thing about Freebooter, is that usually the bases themselves are sculpted metal. I agree they are a bit more pricy, but it seems you get more than just the average mini.

Not sure if you will see anymore Yanick sculpts anytime soon. As you know Yanick did our last 2 CMON minis. He has disappeared, last I heard, Rackham was suing him... and as you can see, Warcrow has been coming out with 6 releases every 2 months and this time there are only 4, none by him, which verifies my assumption.

Well good news. He\'s alive over at the creafig forum. Here\'s his latest mini for warcrow :

We have plenty of size comparison pics up at our website. We also try to list the mm size of each one.

In the game the Sawblades are meant to be around 7ft+ tall. Dragyri Males are 8-9ft tall, with females around 7ft+.

Hope that helps :)

I can\'t believe Essex Miniatures came out of the woodwork - theres a name I haven\'t heard in a looooooooooooooong time.

Hasslefree at the mo are doing it for me - I have a soft spot for figures that aren\'t all weapons and fight - and they do lots of these

Thunderbolt Mountain sculpts are just incredible. His elves and fairies are among the most exceptional sculpts I\'ve ever seen...
Ilyad games is also top, some really good minis they have... :)

Copplestone!

No mention of Copplestone? I have a lot of their product and absolutely love the style. And they have some things I had trouble finding anywhere else.

@dburford

I don\'t think he sells to trade accounts last time I checked, and hence the low availability of his products.

Magnificient Egos is probably my favorite at the moment. Right up until the time that Gael starts selling his own line.

I want that new ninja they have on their greens page.

Gotta put in a vote for a couple of aussie companies. maiden head and Shadowforge. Nice little chicky minis. A bit primitive but nice to paint. I also like IKOR stuff as well
