Oye, that sucks about the cake. But I'm glad your topper was safe. Great work on it. Love all steampunk look and great job on the figures!

This is a masterpiece DR. Truly stunning. Must have taken you quite some time, I imagine, because there are many I intricate pieces. I've looked over this a few times now and keep seeming to notice something new every time. Definitely has a strong setting.

I intimated to you awhile back that I may be interested in doing something similar for my mother's wedding this August. I just don't think I could find a fitting theme for her and her fiancé.

No way! The cake was ruined before the wedding???!! Ha! You only hear about that in a Hollywood script. So this little girl was left alone with the cake, I gather? Bad move!

Honestly impressed though. This basically just reinforces all of the great words of wisdom you have offered me as an amateur painter. Not that this was needed, but it's sometimes great to see the teacher put his lessons to practice, which you have done here on a grand scale.

So what are they interested in? 10/1 I can help you put something together

Err no, it was the cake makers nephew who apparently grabbed a handful of the cake while it was on the table about to go in the box. The sister is, I've been told, just a "doting mother" who doesn't believe in strong parenting :eyeroll:

Cheers I still try, and not just my wife's patience!

I've never met him, as I havent been "home" in 3 years. Damn military. I do know that he is a restaurant owner. Dog lover. Loves the HBO Series True Detectives (Tangent: I love this series too, and while it would be inappropriate on a wedding cake, it would be awesome to make a diorama of this. Actually, if you google True Detective art, there has been many artistic representations of the show. This is because it has such a strong setting. Ghost-like Bayou, scene of ritualistic murders. For those that have seen the show, the scene of the first victim would be the perfect miniature scene. Also the setting of the final episode of S1 would be incredible. Okay digression complete).

Unfortunately I dont know much else about him, though I could find out more. Mother has run a home day care for years, most loving and nurturing woman on the planet. Has an affinity for all animals. Loves interior decorating. Is pretty much a home maker.

Okay, using this background information, DR applies a mysterious quantum physics equation. His eyes roll in the back of his head as he computes data, and then he snaps out of his reverie with the most fitting result of a cake topper for my mother and her beau:

Steam Punk Mary Poppins bludgeoned to death by Ogre Samurai

Sweeeeeeet!
