For me, it\'s the bitching and griping that my sister-in-law\'s family starts over who gets to host who for christmas lunch. EVeryone wants to feed everyone else the same sorry, half-arsed gammon or turkey as they did last year. Christmas falls in the middle of summer on this side of the world. 32C is not time for a hot lunch - that\'s winter food.
The office party... mine is tomorrow. If I could, I\'d go back to my desk and work instead. I work with these people, I don\'t choose to socialise with them.

Fortunately, this year, I\'m skiing in Austria, and can forego christmas entirely.
