What painting are you most proud of?

I have just finished the horse of a gorgeous new model (which you will see soon enough!):] and I have to say I am so damn proud of it!

A lot of people who have pm\'d me seem to think that I was born paintbrush in hand which is definately not the case! I have worked my ass off to get to this point in my painting career where I feel I am really beginning to get the results I set out for all those many moons ago.

This brings me to my question (well actually it doesn\'t but who cares!):

In your painting journey what has been the paint-job that you are most proud of??
Is it your best work? Or the point where you finally achieved the goal you where looking for?

Answers please!

Cheers,
AlexDaMan!lol

My favorite (aside from my last ;) ) would have to be my Griffin from Reaper with the peacock wings that I absolutely have not been able to photograph worth a %^#@.

Although my last one, awaiting a photo session, blew my own socks off (as well as those of a few others at the recent ReaperCon) and I have yet to decide if I can put her up on eBay as I originally planned, or not.

Lucrezia Belladona

I\'d have to say I\'m most proud of my Lucrezia Belladonna. I worked a whole month on the paintjob for that piece.

It does always seem like my latest work is \"what I\'m most proud of\", because I keep getting better. Even with that, Lucy is still my best piece and it\'s been almost three months since I completed her.

Yeah, I have to say my latest work is always my favourite, because if I put the same amount of effort into it as the last one, it always seems to turn out better(at least in my eyes). Besides my ork, my favourite is Gauntfield, both for the paint job and the cool sculpt.

I don\'t have a favorite mini, I have a favorite part....

I was painting a friends Treeman in a GW one day when I was bored. The Birch bark sections came out looking, like Birch bark. I have never so easily and beautifully painted anything.

I asked to buy the mini from my friend, and he said no. A few weeks later I caught him trying to pass the work off as his own, which was damned funny when he was asked how he did the wood, and I had to step in and tell how it was done. The shame!!! Stupid wood elf players....

Mine would also be my latest one, my Widowmaker kapitan. While it didn\'t rate as high as my Bretonnian princess (no WOW factor, I guess), in real life the painting is just so crisp clean that I still wonder how I did it - and, more importantly, if I can do it again lol.

My favorite Miniature is my Wolfen Prowler, he took damn long but came out very nice in my opinion.

I was really proud of my Avatar of the bloody- handed God. It was the first mini I actually put great effort in, and he looked quite good ( in comperison to my other ones).
That\'s wenn I started painting minis for fun, and not only because it looks silly to play with bare minis.

Yes, I am proud of her Avatar too :p Well, I really like it.

What do you mean, my minis? I\'m not proud of my minis. They suck. Go away :p

A giant I did way back when that a friend tought me to wash & drybrush on. The paintjob is that great, but those new techniques opened doors for mini painting that I did not know existed.

And my latest. Always. Best effort (not always best results) and some new technique that I am trying: Wet pallet blending, magic wash, colored primer, NMM (soon) etc.

When I was...14 or something I first dicovered how to drybrush with more than one colour (so for me, it was like my discovery of the year. And no one told me, I felt like it was my very own idea, too!). I drybrushed an orc\'s face and I was so proud of it that I couldn\'t stop looking at it. The first thing I did every morning after I got up for the next two weeks was staring at my orcses face.
Oh how I miss those times...

That\'s nearly always my newest paintjob, the Executioner because he\'s so damn cool(the sculpt, but hey.. I did a good job i think :D ) Apart from that, my wip Inquisitor Lord Coteaz is coming along great, but it takes a while to paint.. i\'m up to 6 hours now and not nearly finished.

Same here...

...always the new mini... in this case an Inquisitor although the people here on CMON don\'t agree with me :( (the pic really does\'t do it justice)
but apart from that I think it\'s the Aberration from Hybrid. I\'m really proud of that one.

yup

It seems my fave is always the one I am currently working on.

Looking back though, I like these two guys the best:

Neither of them scored very well, especially my Albino Ogre, but it was fun to paint, and I like it just fine!!

Always room for improvement though!!

I\'m really proud of my Rackham Inquisitor:

I have re-done it at least 10 times to obtain the right blending and a smooth black armour.
All the time I have spent on it come useful at the biggest Italian convention and I bing home the \"Best of Show\" sword ;)

even though i still see things that need improvement

Favorite so far...

I have to agree with most of the people who have replied that I usually like the mini I\'m currently painting the best. Especially the new Spyglass minis I got from the CMON Shop.:D

Of the ones I\'ve posted I would have to say that these two are my favorite:
