who me?

i think when i made my previous post before the tau that is my avatar i was like around 300 or so. guess with a year going without adding anything people just decided to knock me down the line. i dont think i am that good, but i do my best and try new things as i learn them.

whether i get good enough to sell anything i am not worried, i just enjoy painting these little bugers.

you should put up one of them hospital curtains then. i love my solitude when doing minis. maybe moving to the head would be a good idea for you...until someone needs to use it. lol

My workspace is my garage. I have stations, kinda. Anyway I do it all models, figures, sculpting, greenstuff-brownstuff-and polymers, casting, pictures, (molds/moulds), and the web page. I try to keep it all neat, but I think I am kidding myself.
It stays in a mess. Everything is in large plastic boxes. I use one box for one thing another box for another. I use 18\" x 24\" pieces of plexiglass for my work boards. One is nothing more than a glob of paint with plexiglass somewhere under the layers of paint. The other is all scratched up from cutting stuff, and the last one I keep clean for sculpting. The resins and RTV silicones stay on a bench in the garage, mainly because of the kids. Thats it thats my workspace. What a mess....

My workspace is now a table I built from scrap - and have more than just minis on!

Will try to take and post picture of it since this thread has come back from the dead.

My main worktable.

All around it you find books, boxes with miniatures, parts, materials and tools.

one day I\'ll figure out how to post pics in the forums but until then my desk stays pretty neat for the most part unless I\'m in the middle of somethin. Hard to not keep it clean if I was to slack for 1 day I\'m sure my 5 year old son would do a fine job for me. But this helps keep me on my toes :D:bouncy: One thing I have not seen on a lot of these desk is a radio man give me some good jams (Metallica,Slipknot or even linkin park) that helps me alot with the creative side of painting the mini\'s :flip::bouncy::moon: Cheers Torath

yup it is. in a spare bedroom in front of a broken roll-out window.

its on the second story and the window was hit by a fly ball (baseball). one of the two layered panes are broke. and while saving to get it replaced ($600) i just decided to use it for spraying.

i close the door after i spray some. and it vents right out the window. just cant open the window more than 1/3 or it will come crashing down onto the furnace. (200 lbs faling into a gas furnace not good.)

so its not like i am near the fumes. cause the unfinished bathroom also has a fully working window. i just haven\'t got it painted or a floor in there yet.

minis take enough time...doesnt leave enough time for finishing building the house. lol

I have a grand total of 3 wip on there (which is 2 more than I usually can manage).

If you look on top of the little set of drawers you can see all my unpainted figures waiting to be done (and that is alot for me!!!).

I love this desk for painting. It is a computer desk, and is in my living room (I live alone, so why not :D ).

I can see my widescreen telly and listen to my stereo while painting!!

And yes that is Dullcote even though I live in England :D

You could have tidied up your desks! Your mothers would be horrified lol.

I notice most desks are in dark corners. That worries me.

What you mean! That is tidy (ish). Those paints are only out cos those were the ones i was using yesterday.

As for the corner thing, I actually have a large bay window just to the left of that picture, the desk itself is sitting in an alcove :D I\'m sitting in line with real light when I paint in the day time :D

Pretty lousy. Hopefully once I get my new place I\'ll be able to invest in a serious workplace.
