What\'s your workspace like?

@mick - Wow...that\'s a nice workspace. And a whole lot of STUFF. ^_^

@ freakinacage - Isn\'t there at least a friend\'s house or gaming store with a table that you can paint at nearby or something? Besides the cold, I think sitting in there would wreck my lower back.

And all these pictures is inspiring me to redo my workspace and put in more lights. Of course, that would mean I\'d do all of that and STILL not paint any more than I do. ^_^

My workspace is pretty boring. It\'s in the dining room of my house, on the dining room table...which really isn\'t ever used as a dining room table since we have a big table and cushioned bench/chairs in the kitchen. I have a nice view of the television in the living room, a window nearby that lets me look at the birdies when it isn\'t raining (ha!), an air ionizer in a vain effort to cut down on dust, and the dining room halogen lamp sitting above the table to provide light. I think I need clamp light or something to help cut down on shadows since I mostly paint at night.

sadly no. i know no-one locally who paints and i don\'t get home from work \'till about 5.30 - 6 ish so i doubt my local gw is still open. mind you i think they might have a problem with me turning up and painting heresy/confrontation stuff there!!!

*puts on posh voice* ...Do you mean my Studio!?..... :Dlol
*right back to normal*
it does the job till I build a proper Studio/Workshop (when I\'ve got about £1200 to spare :( )
The lights are just normal 500w Halogen external floodlights my local B&Q (DIY) store was selling them foe a £5er ea last year. In hindsight 300w lights would probably have done, it gets mighty hot in there after only a few minutes

You\'d fit wondefully where I work. (and I\'m talking about some of the senior managers . Lazy arses insist on leaving heir bloody machines switched on an logged in. Buggers up the Backups some days. Before you ask no we\'re using really old \"Novell Sbackup\" routines which don\'t like open files.) Can you tell I feel a little bitter about that?

Back on topic. I\'m lucky in my workspace I have a room dedicated to painting/modelling. It\'s just the carpet\'s getting Crunchy to walk on with all the Pewter ground into it. :)
