mattrock - hehe yeah I came off the wrong way, really it just seems to me over these past years Bush hasn\'t been able to pull the country out of the slump, but if what you say is correct, there\'s nothing he can really do. There\'s just so many factors that can effect the whole economy, it\'s such a complex issue that I don\'t fully understand. But I never thought about it as presidents get credit they don\'t rightly deserve for where the economy is at during their term. To me, I\'d like to see a president who is fiscally responsible and gets the country out of it\'s massive debts! Use my tax dollars for something responsible instead of unnecessary wars or on the other hand, expensive crapola health care plans. It\'ll never happen, but hey, can always hope.

And yes, if Obama had decent policies, he would be great. But he is all fluff, and he is horrible on issues like foreign policy, and also for handouts for the lazy, etc etc I could go on and on but I won\'t... lol and his followers, I\'ve talked with a few, and they know NOTHING about his stance.. I met a guy and asked him \"well, how will Obama change things so drastically, what exactly will he do and how will he do it?\" and the only replies I get are \"you just have to believe and have faith in him, he will lead us into a new future!\" Scary stuff, if you read on how fascists like Hitler came into power, they were progressive and had progressive ideas, with followers just like Obama\'s, following blindly... not that I think that\'s possible, but come on, they feel the \"Obama spirit\" in them and pass out at his rallies! lame!
And I agree with you Vike, I don\'t wake up worrying about politics either, but these discussions can be a great exercise of the brain, and also you can learn something from others.. especially other viewpoints from others on this forum who are from different countries.
