If you haven\'t already, then you need to read the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson- he\'s the guy who is finishing the WOT series, with the blessing of RJ\'s wife and editor.

Mistborn, The Well of Ascension, and The Hero of Ages; they are a FANTASTIC read!

I\'ve so far got the first in the series of these two:

malazan book of the fallen

A song of fire and Ice

These sound more her cup of tea.

Ooo, was thinking last night and came up with a couple more suggestions, if she hasn\'t already read them:

The Nightwatch series by Sergei Lukyanenko. Modern-day good versus evil tales set (mainly) in Moscow. Highly entertaining; please ignore any comparisons to J. K. Rowling or the Potter boy series. Thankfully, they\'re nothing alike. Well, except for the presence of magic. That\'s it.

The Deverry series by Katherine Kerr. I really enjoyed the first four books. The next few kinda lost me (too many elves for my taste, and too many of the characters I liked from the first books had died off), but I\'m told it picks up again later on. Someone who likes elves might enjoy the latter books more than I did, but it\'s perfectly possible to stop reading after book 4 and be completely satisfied.
