Amen Philo, I hate living in Southern California, it hasn\'t rained more than about 2 days this year and its been about a constant 95f-105f with our highest day so far being 111f. I hate this hot dry weather. If I had a choice I\'d move to either Alaska, Oregon or Montana. Outside the US i\'d move to New Zealand.

Hey! I live in California! What\'s wrong with California? We have beautiful beaches, Snow covered mountains, deep lakes, the tallest forests in the counrty, big egos, high prices, Arnold.....wait.....ok we do have a few problems.

I\'ve only been there once but I loved most of Europe and Japan, because both places are so different from Vancouver, and any place that I\'ve been up to when I first went to Europe. The US and Canada can\'t boast the history that other Europe, Africa, and Asia have so wherever I go outside of Canada and America, everything is pretty enticing. But I still love British Columbia, Canada the most, probably because it still has a ton of natural beauty and I\'ve lived there for all my life.

But if I had to choose somewhere besides Vancouver, I would say Japan, because it reminded me a lot of Vancouver + a whole lotta history and culture.

I would have to say Japan. I have a keen interest in the History and culture there. I am currently trying to learn some Japanese (nothing to serious at the moment but I do when I get the time), I have managed to learn how to write in Hiragana and am learning Katakana now, then its only Kanji to go with some 2000 characters.
I went to Japan earlier this year, only for a short time however as I went to some other countries in Asia aswell. I loved it there though and will hopefully go back someday for sure.

Travelling at the expense of Uncle Sugar dont really count, does it? If so, I\'ve seen a huge chunk of sand and would still stick to England or New Zealand.

Although if I had the money, Dubai aint to bad.

I tell you what. We\'ll kick out everyone but mini painters and take over California.

Wait...we\'d need pizza and soda....

Okay. Everyone but painters, pizza shops and the occasional grocery store....

Wait...we\'d need lighting, gas, water, trash pick up....

damn. We just can\'t get rid of them. I need movies too. <sigh>

Vienna

I would love to move to vienna. It\'s my absolute favorite city. My uncle lives there and I was countless times there for vacation.

Unfortunately I will have to wait another 4 years till I can move \"back\" to austria if I want to avoid military service... lol
They \"get\" you till you are 35 years old... :cussing:

Or plain old Hull...

You\'d better make sure you\'re flood insurance is up to date, or live on a boat in the marina.

I lived in Hull whilst at university. Thankfully it didn\'t flood then. It was unnerving at time in high tide as the halls of residence was next to the river Hull and I couldn\'t help but think that if the water rose much more then we\'d get one of those cargo barges through our wall.

Despite it\'s faults, politicians, current lousy weather, tabloid media paranoia and CHAV\'s this little island I live on does for me.

I\'d throughly enjoy visiting other countries, such as France, Italy, Spain The USA and going back to Canada, but I have to admit to being content living here.
