Too many movies to choose from but Highlander and Labyrinth are two favourites! Gotta love those Goblins!:flip:

@Supervike: Moulin Rouge is a great movie!

Well, my all-time favorite would have to be DUNE. The plain director\'s cut. NOT the crappy, wanna-be-like-star-wars TV shat NOR any of the 4(!) different DVD boxes available (SPICE EDITION?!?! GET OFF MY PLANET!!! )

Oh, and Ferris Bueller\'s Day Off... how can anyone have gone to school without ever watching that?!

Those two are followed by all the nice Hollywood stuff found in all the charts... Blade Runner, Monty\'s, LotR, and so on...

btw, wouldn\'t \"Klaatu Berata Necktu\" be a line from Army of Darkness as well (y\'know, boomstick \'n stuff...)

Everybodys comments have reminded me of some great films......

Personally I have one favorite film, which is Lord of the rings, fellowship of the ring,
(but i\'ll list some of my others favorites too) :)

The other two lotr movies come close behind my first choice,

also way up there is the matrix trilogy, i don\'t care what all the critics say, they\'re great movies and entertainment full stop

Fight club..... Amazing, \'nuff said,

Silence of the lambs is a classic for me Anthony hopkins is amazing.

Jurrassic Park \'cause it came out at the cinema when i was a kid and i was mesmorised, (still can\'t fault the cgi to this day)

I Love Braveheart although im not looking at it from a historical standpoint, more a like a story, which makes all the errors forgivable.

And loads more including
Pirates of the carribean
Terminator 2
The mummy
shaun of the dead a (new favorite)
Hannibal
etc.

Couldn\'t agree more:flip:

Exquisite taste my bonkers! I\'ve got me several testimonies of my being taste-amputated! (\'tleast thats what my significant other claims...)
And Dune was the only other thing Kyle MacLachlan did besides Twin Peaks that didn\'t blow big time...

Yeah, well all SO\'s say that. It\'s in their job description...

My SO thinks that the band \'YES\' sucks and blows, that\'s despite me subjecting her to an album-a-day for the last decade:flip:

I\'ve even arranged for them to be played at my funeral...she will learn to appreciate them eventually....:D

I have to ask....you are kidding right. You do know that the phrase originated with The Day the Earth Stood Still? That\'s what made it so funny in Army of Darkness.

@Finn...I\'m a huge Yes fan. Not as big as some I know. I only have most of their albums, not all of them. Some are actually vinyl. ;)

Oooo...also I like all the James Bond movies because Sean Connery is so dreamy.....:flip:

Just seen The Amityville Horror.

It was pretty good, I guess.

But what a crock of $hit! That house is only about twenty minutes from mine, and man did they exaggerate everything. I thought the original was farfetched, but they went overboard with the sequel! I don\'t want to ruin it for anyone, but the writers must of really enjoyed that Rob Zombie movie. lol

But if you don\'t know the real story it\'s not to shabby. It has a couple of scenes that make it worth the cover price.

For me, the best was the \"almost\" sex scene... gotta find out who that actress is...

I cant believe I have gone through 5 pages of choices and didnt see my favorite in any of the posts:

Full Metal Jacket

I also liked Band of Brothers but that was a mini series. It was produced by Tom Hanks and is the story of the soldiers who landed in Europe for VE- day and takes them from the first day on into Berlin.
Good stuff.
It just recently came out on DVD so If you havent seen it GET IT
