WHY WHITE STUFF!?!??!

@Barkel. What I meant with that they are basicly the same stuff is that their basic components are the same. Contrary to for instance Milliput which has a totally different filler and feel. There are some differences in behaviour but not extreme ones like between brown and green. For one thing, white takes sharp details a little easier but also forms a skin much quicker which can lead to wrincles.
I much prefer green. Out of interest, how much does white cost in the US GW stores?

@No such agency. That means it\'s too old. Problem is that most storess have it hanging on the wall where the aging process is not slowed. When it has a skin it\'s better to use it as a filler only and get a fresh batch somewhere. Did you try to return it? Tip for keeping it fresh: split the two components and store them seperatly of just throw it in the freezer.

@Vincegamer: Here are the official names if that helps: http://www.polymericsystems.com/morepoxies.htm#Sculptors. White stuff is Kneadatite blue/white if I remember right. :)

Ok, they never did that. I just told my friends that they did when I was trying to pay off what I owed them with construction paper. They didn\'t buy it.

If you\'d have went with GREEN construction paper, that may have worked...(of course, then you\'d be posting from prison also!)

I have been \"scratchbuilding\" a treeman (on and off for a while) And I have found that the different materials work great for different uses.

I used Sculpey (fimo) for the bulk of the body and limbs (ahem that is a PUN), then Whitestuff to fill out some areas of foilage growth. And now I am using the precious Green Stuff to add some details. They all have there uses, and the whole fun in using it is finding out how and what works.

cost

I don\'t know what it costs, exactly. What I do know is that the GW store in Lawrenceville, GA has the exact same prices as the web site. And the local hobby store here has the exact same prices, but everything is always discounted at 10%.

As for buying it in bulk through a plumming supply depot... is it still the same stuff? I mean, I can see that plumbers might not be so concerned with whether it wrinkles or has a bumpy consistency. If I bought milliput that is not intended for sculpting would I get sculpting quality milliput?

@Smoth:
I must\'ve misunderstood what you said, which is not uncommon for me. I thought you were saying that green and white are the same thing so therefore green could not be any more toxic than white. That\'s the only reason I said what I did. But my main point anyway was that they are all probably toxic to a point.

Here, here, to Sculpey!

I use sculpey whenever I can. It is so much cheaper. The only problem is the more you work it the softer it gets. I just finished Master Shake in sculpey, which turned out pretty well. Frylock did not come accross as well. It\'s the damn nose. I may have to do him again. Tonight I will attempt Meatwad. He gets the money, see. He gets the hunnies, G.
