Having made myself paint a 1500pt Blood Angel army for a weekend of Planet Strike with some mates, i swore to myself that i'd try and paint something nice to a display standard to make up for my rushed, tabletop quality marines. I already had the perfect project i'd started some time back not long after watching Jeremie Bonamont's instructional DVD about 9 months ago. It was a Aurlok Nation battle toad by Alkemy as featured in the DVD. Its been sealed in a jar for about 8 months so was in perfect condition to paint. Tonight i got him out and carried on painting with paint thats sat on my wet pallette for about 3 months now (and still good to paint with). Here's a few WIP pics as the skin is coming to the end of painting. I just have the face to go and want to incorparate some greys into the chin and jowls to break up the greens. I also want try some NMM which i've also been working on with mixed success.
Can i ask for some critique? I've been working on blending and layering and i think i'm getting the hang of it slowly but i'd appreciate some feed back so far.
Also, here's a picture of my paint "doodle pad" where i've tried to hone some NMM freehand. I had the idea to do an NMM chevron for a banner so tried some SENMM and std NMM at the bottom of the picture. It just doesnt look right though...... can anyone give me some pointers please?
