[WIP] Girls on the boardwalk [NUDES]

Originally I was thinking of three girls, but the one standing just seemed a tad too tall and had some other problems. Currently they are on hold because I\'m working on another mini contest with a deadline.

I must be metal blind. Those mold lines are clearly obvious after the primer is on.

I\'d recommend these for Specs wearers.
Lighter than the optivisor and easier to keep clean(-ish).
They do help in spotting the moulding lines............But Not Always. lol

I\'ve got the Optivisor Headband Magnifiers. I just got to remember to use them before I put the primer on.

Make sure you paint all the details though

I think the metal struts on the wood planking really hurts it. They would not be comfortable to lie on, and if it\'s sunny, they\'d be burning hot. If you can remove them it would be much better.

(plus my first impression was that they were lying on some kind of railroad or trolly tracks)

And I am planning on trying to get the reclining female close to but not touching the metal, and the other female only having the pillow cover the metal. Ideally I do want their feet to dangle, but it\'s not necessary for them to both do so. I\'m also thinking of adding some static grass (dune grass) as well.

I have just started to use the versatile head band with the light excellent bit of kit because even wearing glasses it allows me look down or to the side and see where I am about to put the brush to load it with paint rather than sending my eyes dolally all the time.

Mind you I would probably be better off with a trip to the optician but that is on my do do list when I get a spare five minutes.

I\'m going to try to use them before I apply the primer paint. I know that even with them I will still fail because we all know.

Besides I paint next to the washer/dryer in the basement. I don\'t want to look cool painting minis I want painted minis to look cool.

Flesh and Hair Done!

Still a WIP. Flesh and hair were made with Reaper master series triads. My first time at using them. The one lying down probably needs a lot more blending work, but the current effect has that \"sand on the beach\" effect. The ladies are not glued down, but only the pillow will be lying over the metal strap. I\'ve reversed the miinis from the first photo. because they probably would be looking at each other, more or less. I\'m also planning to add some static grass on the left side of the mini, my first use of that on a mini.

P.S. The mold lines are horrid. Fortunately they are harder to see to the OFNE (Old fart naked eye). This is good because even a 45 old man still has moral problems placing a dremel on a naked woman\'s breasts. lol

DREMEL!!!!! Are you mad?
Please, please, please do not use a Dremel to remove a moulding line like that. You will need a great deal of care, attention and the right tool for the job.

I\'ve got one and have been using it.
My initial view of it is that it is very good and can be used both with and across the Grain of a moulding line.
Plastic it just cuts away so smoothly that there is barely a make left. Metal takes a little bit more effort but if it\'s done slowly and carefully the chisel does clean off the flash raised line clearly.
This is not a chisel that you can use with a hammer but needs careful slow pressure gripped like a pen/pencil.
It\'s sharp and accurate, I was able to pare off some skin which grows awkwardly over one of my fingernails with out scratching the surface of the nail.

I will definitely look for it. (Besides I don\'t own a dremel anyway.)

Meanwhile, the finished mini is patiently on the queue waiting for her opportunity to prove that my best mini is not furnature!

Sorry dude but you really have to get rid of the mould lines. They really spoil the whole diorama and will severly affect your score. I doubt anyone will vote over a 6 for these minis. I think its a do over. Good luck

Vote over a 6? I\'d be overjoyed if they voted over a 5. (Kicks myself in the shelf ... I could have been a contender. All I needed to do was drop the first image. )

The scenes good, but as everyone has said the mould lines really bring it down. This is the best use of glitter paints iv seen you do though!
