Do you use the same gold recipe that you used on the Ultramarines?
The metal is a little different - it has a base of Dwarf bronze, which makes it slightly warmer to my mine. Still has brown and a purple wahs over this, but after the highlights done, I put a couple of thin red glazes on it for good measure!
Right then, after huge amount of false starts on the sword, I think I\'ve got some sort of happy compromise with it. Not
quite standard verdigris - I think (well, hope) that the effect gives off at least
some aura of magical do-dah!
Fiddled about with his eye too - by christ it was fiddly - in the end I was standing up arms rested on my window-sill before I managed to get the right position to pop in the black!
