That guy\'s purdy dang cool! Gunna be a D&D baddie? What\'s the white stuff? Milliput?

Thanks for the help and well wishes. Pinkie\'s felling great, and i\'m getting back into painting as well as sculpting. Went with green, and did some cool (i think at least) washes to finish the base. So i\'ll clear coat it tomorrow and put some pics up. Super excited to be active in the painting part of this site again... fells like my first mini all over again:)

Got the gold looking ok(in my eyes anyway and I aint going to do any more on it:D)Ive put some deep blue highlights on the coat,more evident in person,and some sharp bright highlights on the creases.Some washes still to go on and I might need to re-set those highlights.There will be freehand on the coat which should hide the lack of highlights on the black.

Ive been thinking about the base and maybe a

yeah, my first post on this forum!! :)

I picked up painting again after a long long time and this is what I managed to paint last night

It still needs a lot work, but I\'m getting there.

And I\'m still figuring out how I\'m going to highlight the black armour... any pointers anyone??

highlight black using grey or grey/blue

and did you clean the mold lines? because I spotted two in my first look at the mini: on the staff and on the side of the head

Mark that assassin is looking cool the black highlights are a little harsh for my taste though but still a neat piece of work again. Here is my Cyborg and I have realy just put ot up again for my own reference, the mini is practically done and will be sent off to pete the mighty later to day (the image that is).
It has proved to be far more intricate than I first thought but I have had a great time painting it.

I did clean the moldlines, I noticed I missed the one on the staff, but it didn\'t bother me.

But the head doesn\'t have any mould lines (I checked :D) it\'s just dented...like they smashed him a couple of times over the head with something.

@tidoco - Wow! He/it looks fantastic! The colours are so rich, considering it\'s quite a drab scheme. I think the flesh really helps that. Also, \"real\" metallics were a good choice here, in my opinion.

My Emperor is finally done, and posted. Check him out HERE. He\'s still awaiting approval but I\'d love some votes/comments :D This was a gift from green stuff for the mini exchange so many thanks, Cedric!

Im pleased how the metals came out on the cyborg but the wizard didn\'t turn out too well IMO.Can\'t win em all I guess.:D

Tim.....please dont take this the wrong way.

You need a bigger pic of that guy.He is awesome looking and he needs a decent shot for it.What I would do is the front shot on top about 550 pixels wide,under that the side views like you have them there,and under them the back view the same as the top front one.Also tidy up the joints between the pics with white borders,looks so much better presentation wise.
You should be able to do that without too much compression to get the file below 100k.Drop the width to no less than 400 pixels if you need to.
He will get a great score but will get a better one if you change the format Im sure.
Also I will pm you some code to put the website link in your post like I do.
On a side note I was telling Tracy Brady how
good it is \"sparring\" with you,you have really pushed me with the assassin after seeing the cyborg and he is without a doubt my best paintjob yet.More pics soon.

NSA .....voted and commented again,the brightness makes a difference with the gold.

I was thinking about those green tubes on the front of his body, and I figured they would have some reflection on the bright skin adjacent to them. What do you think?

Cheers James, I agree with the OSL but IPete asked if I could get the model done by the weekend and I was running out of time, I also started seeing double with the amount of detail on the mini but it is a thought for future touch ups.
