That Cyborg turned out really great tim! I voted and commented.
I was in GW Leicester at vets night last night and was talking to brokenblade who was in there painting. You\'ll have to come down 1 week and show off :p

I\'ve been having problems with my computer the past few days and so not been able to get a better pic of my Tyrant up :(. Just got back online and I need to re-install some stuff and then I should be able to take some better photos...

Edit: OK here we go. Its hard to get a pic of the whole thing its so damn big! :S but heres a pic of the main part of him. A lot of the red needs retouching as I\'ve used it in games a couple of times now and its worn off on the edges a bit.

Nice looking bug,the red is very vibrant and smooth.Get the red varnished to protect it when you retouch it.It will seel that stage of the painting and protect it from grubby mits.

OK heres an assassin update.Ive been practising freehand, its about time I did it cos I was a bit scared.Turned out quite nice IMO.Had a tough time matching the freehand gold nmm on the back to the one I did earlier on the front.Hes nearly done now.Just the base and some dullcote.

stef686- The red does look very good. The tongue also looks great. Great blending!!

Klute- That freehand is very good! What colors do you use for your NMM gold? It seems that everyone\'s nmm gold varies a lot. Oh, the rest of the model looks stunning too.

Klute... man, that NMM gold is awesome

tidoco: Big fan of that mini... your flesh looks great and the texturing to that armour codpiece is crazy good

NSA: Man, you got the NMM gold going crazy good too! You and Klute need to share the skill man. Where\'s DR\'s hammer when you need it?

stef: Very nice Nid... now i know why they induce terrorlol

Well, as promised... here\'s the pic of the finished wizard. Went with a green wyrmling. hope you guys like him:D

Thanks guys.Im pretty proud of it myself. Its by far the best paintjob I have done yet.We will let the masses decide the score though;)

The gold was done with a white basecoat over the black of the coat. All paints very thin.Several layers of white to get an even base.
Then bestial brown
snakebite leather
golden yellow
skull white

all very thin and mixed through the range about 4 times ,so I guess thats about 12 layers.
I gave it a wash of very very thin snakey leather before the final pure white just to tie the layers together a bit.

I found the trick is to make sure you keep the contast high.If it isnt wash the shadow colour into the recesses to darken them and take the highlight up.

Ah! That is a good idea to wash it with snakebite leather to tie them together. Thanks for your recipe. :) I start at scorched brown, which I think doesn\'t work for me.

Klute, I REALLY like how you finished that piece, awesome freehand.

And also my dragyri got done as well, check her out here http://www.coolminiornot.com/86272

Wow, excellent work everyone.

Theres a lot to comment on, and it\'s late(3:01 am), and i have to be up early for a painting competition tomorrow, or should i say today  , so i\'ll keep this as short as possible

Tim- what can i say that hasn\'t already been said, he\'s looking sexalitious

Mark - Any idea when the next wave of miniatures is going to be released? this week? i can\'t wait any longer! :D
the assassin is amazing, especially the freehand the overall color choice is very well thought out.

Stef - looks excellent, i\'ve been browsing the forgeworld site today, so hard to resist buying. that dream space marine army is all coming together in my head.

Itchy - What a cool miniature, i like the robes a lot.

I\'ve got to say, the standards on cmon are top notch at the moment, very inspiring.

Wow, thanks BrockenBlade. Yeah, Masquarde did a great job on that wizard. Normally i like to convert minis, but i just couldn\'t find anywhere to put any green stuff.

Speaking of Green Stuff... here\'s the next D&D PC mini i think i\'ll paint.
HalfOrc.jpg

any ideas for color schemes? All i can think of are the Khorne colors, but i\'m trying to get away from that and make it look like it\'s just a D&D character.???

Het Ive still got a little surprise in store with the assassin yet, something you hav\'nt seen.;)

@BrokenBlade..........Tim and I have some of the masters to paint but Pete says the website is getting a big update this weekend so Im asuming the second wave will be up for sale then.He hasn\'t said as much but Im expecting a paintjob from Pete himself and seeing as we didnt get the female cyborg I think it might be that one.
The masters have been passed a while so it wont be long.
