Here is the latest update for my Etruscan Warrior. I still have some way to go with the skin tones but thus far I am happy with the look of the mini.

@darthfoley, nice looking mini I realy like the way the armour looks, I will haveto try this NMM thing sometime. Well back to work on it (I hate doing human flesh).

holy crap...

I gotta check this thread out more often.. It is hard to keep up!

@tidoco....The skin looks very realistic already! The metal work is wonderful

@War Griffon...I have to admit I didn\'t particularly care for that mini when mine arrived, but now seeing what you have done makes me change my mind...

@FF...That is plain disgusting. The overly glossy tongue and meat-cicle really works well. I have had that guy on my wish list for quite a while as well....BTW have you painted his nipples?

@Darth...Your stuff has been more and more impressive with each new entry and this one is shaping up to be one of your best. Keep it up!

Yay.. Aenur is finished..
Check him out here.. http://www.coolminiornot.com/76245

I\'d be very happy if you\'d leave a comment :D

Yes, the nipples were my first I\'m proud to say, that and I can\'t stop rubbing the buggers belly.

:D

Think I\'m going to put a wash or two over him to darken him up a bit and then try something with his eyes. Then the nails, gotta do something with the nails.

hum i think the eyes look quite cool all white, it gives you the real zombie feeling :)
what do you intend to do with the nails? ordinary brown - bleached bone - white highlights or something \"special\"?

Supervike she is still an absolute bitch (can I say that?) and since posting I haven\'t touched her but I think I will go down the NMM route for the swords but I wish I hadn\'t started her and the more I lok at her the more I find wrong with the paint job so far:mad:

I think it will be a case of finish her and put her in the display case out of the way probably not even worth psoting a finished pic but then I might do as she has got this far:)

Think I\'m going to leave the eys as is. More I look at it, the more I like it (that and I\'m intimidated to all hell with it!).

The nails I\'m going to have to do some more work on, perhaps a black, brown, bleached bone, white build up.

The skin I\'m going to end up doing washes on. Not exactly sure what yet .. but it\'ll be done here before soon (dying to get the photo box all finished).

well... i\'ve got a camera now, so here\'s some real WIP pictures of my reaper assassin goblin (only thing i had to change was the helmet to a wool beani)
WIP1.jpg

got a few touch ups to do on the face, clean up around the eyes, paint the teeth... that kind of thing, then i\'m off to the jacket. Going for more of a pail night time ork who doesn\'t get out in the sun much (only works at night you see) and then use blacks and purples (and simular night time colors) for the clothes and NMM for the blades. Any suggestions? Think i\'ve worked out most of it, but if there\'s an idea or two out there from a more experienced painter i always love to hear them!:)

thats a nice navy seal goblin! :D
@ff hm making my bax was more work than i\'d expected but it came out pretty well and i think its really worth the effort, it greatly improves the quality (in my opinion). be sure to inform us when the model is finished! :)

hm this here is how far i came yesterday with the lotr minis, only frodo is still blank.
the pics are a bit blurry since i couldnt get the mini in focus without deforming the terrain so i decided for the terrain :D

Nice tree... how\'d you do that? Is it sculpted? Are there going to be a pair of eyes glowing from under the spot on the bottom? i know it wouldn\'t go with the story, but it\'d look cool.

hm nice idea with the eyes but i guess im pretty short in time since its a birthday present for tomorrow :(
did you mean painted on eyes or real bulbs with a battery under the base?

the broken part of the tree is a real twig, the roots and the lower half are gs, looked pretty crappy but now after painting them they look halfway decent.

Thats looking great Josh.
Its got a great earthy look to it which is spot on for the \"story\".Base fits well with it too.Nice one.

@Joshua: Yeah, i was thinking of yellow LEDs, not sure how you\'d get glowing eyes out of paint under there other than yellow up to white, but in that tight space it\'d be tricky. Or you could get glow in the dark paint. It looks just like white primer... in fact my sister thought it\'d be funny to switch my white primer with glow in the dark halloween paint and ended up ruining my brush on primer and sending some green stuffed minis to a bath of pinesol... needless to say the greens all were destroyed and i wasn\'t happy or amused.

As for the swordswoman. Left a comment... normally i just post my WIP picks in this topic unless it\'s heavily converted and i want suggestions on painting before i start. So i tend to rate those low, and the finished project higher. Looks good, but i\'d add some more shades to the legs and add a wee bit more to her face. Arms look good IMHO. As for the the two swordsmen, they\'re looking spot on, keep it up!:)

Well here is my diorama so far...still got a little more work to do on it. Had a bit of a catastrophe, as the bogeymans ankles snapped, which is why he is now on the box like that :D

wow the sentinels look great, flaweless nmm work! i love the colors but somwhow i think that these minis look all pretty much the same if painted in a very high, even professional standart (which you did, congratz :) )
these awe great sculpts but they dont give you much freedom for your own characters (in my humble opinion)
nevertheless an awesome paintjob!
