I wouldn\'t argue with that meat cleaver, so I\'ll say YES! Good work, Mark. I never liked those ugly teeth either and your conversion has made him look generally more brutish and mean than the original sculpt. I like the man-boobs too! They loook good on him! :D

Hopefully this will overcome the horror of the man-boobs!
Finished the skin on Atali tonight - just need to do her veil/garment. It is going to be white, using Reaper\'s Pearl White to give it an ethereal gossamer look, but I am unsure of what color to shade with. I am thinking that with the hair and skin an tan or bone color would be best to shade. Any opinions? Would a grey or light blue work better here?

Not that I can tell anyway. You are probably right on the blue, as she will be in a snowy setting.

@ Klute nice sculpting on that butcher you certainly made it look a lot better than the stock model.

@ Primeval looking good there nice fleshtones.

After the suggestions given me about the injection mould line I decided I would give the shield a try, to be honest I did not want to do anything that would a) damge the mini and b) I cannot sculpt tp save my life.

The shield is only temporarily fixed in place but I do like the way it looks.

It won\'t be long now before it is completed.

Amazing woek time, and that shield really dosn\'t look out of place on him so it\'s all good :)
Here\'s my curent project, also from the mini exchange :D Tips on the NMM are welcomed. The blue isn\'t done yet, I kinda screwed up on the last highlight and gota go back and fix it.

@frenchkid
Armour looks good so far, but you should make some sharp further highlighting to really bring some shine to the steel. Look at for instance Eric\'s female cyborg to see what I mean. You have a good foundation, though, and the colour tone looks right for the steel.

@tidoco
Looks really nice, as I pointed out earlier. It\'s going to be exciting to see it based and all.

@ritual: Yes that is one of the probleme I have with NMM, it\'s highlighted up to white in sevral places but I don\'t seem to get that shing look armour should have. Should I just spread the areas of white ? Or maybe put a couple more layer of white on the white places to make it\'s true white. ??? Oh and thanks for the advice :D

Tim .....the shield looks spot on.

Frenchkid.........I find the trick with nmm is the contrast.To get this make the final white highlight a good step away from the shade before.Black in the deepest of shadows too.

@frenchkid
The white spots mustn\'t be too big since they could easily be washed out in the photo and everything end up looking grey. The pure white reflections should be sharp and located just where the absolute maximum amount of light would be reflected. Hope that is to some help for you! :)

Klute - So your making an army of these guys :bouncy: please do lol i\'m not sure if youv\'e aleady mentioned it, so if you have i\'m sorry, but what was the inspiration for these guys?

Natasberni - That looks really realistic especially because it\'s such a close up picture, do you have any pictures off the rest of the model?

Tim- That is looking good. I agree that the shield looks good. Maybe you could put some dents or damage to it.

Arthur- The NMM is looking good. I would suggest going another highlight or two. I think the thing with NMM is to work your highlights up to pure white, since metal is very reflective.

Mark- Nice hamsters. Are you coming out with a small series? I agree with vincegamer that a redwall series would be awesome. If you do, sign me up on the preorder list. I wonder if you would have to ask Brian Jacques for permission.

natasberni- The axe looks really good. I couldn\'t think of any suggestions. Let\'s see the rest of the figure.

@Klute - Really good work on the Butcher. The facial expression is great and his man boobs scare the bejesus out of me!

Ive just got a dremel recently myself and am going to have to do some pretty heavy duty miniature reshaping with it this weekend. A bit of advice if you\'d be so kind. Is there was a particular bit you\'ve found that\'s best for grinding miniatures down smoothly and should I go at it at a high or low speed?
