I have\'nt finished the feathers yet they will become whiter. I\'m not sure what colour to do the strap and bags around his torso at the moment anyone have any suggestions.

@ medved

I don\'t remember the website, but V.I.P. (visions in putty) and V.I.C. (Visions in color) had sculpting events where everyone who submited a green got a casting of the sculpts that everyone in the contest did.

I think you\'re definitely qualified for it. I just hope they\'re still doing it.

Otherwise you might want to check out jeff valent studios, they might do casting for you. You might even get some commission work from them.

@freakinacage- the swooping hawk is one for myself, I plan to paint up all the eldar exarchs for myself, when I can find the time.

Finally broke out of lazy mode and got some work done. This is an old Grenadier shaman with a Monolith Designs snake goddess idol - the shaman will be on the base in that clear spot in front, menacing those that would defile the snake goddess altar. Hope to get it done this weekend.

Looking good

Kevin;

That really looks good! Nice job on the shaman\'s skin. Are you going to cut him off of his intergral base and pin him to the new one, or attach the current base and then sculpt it in?

Like the snake goddess idol too!

Cheers,
Scott :cool:

I\'m posting more minis in this thread than I do in my gallery, but anyway, here\'s another one I\'m working on right now.

There\'s a lot of work left on it, but I\'m quite pleased with the copper nmm and the OSL on the dagger. Let me know what you think.

He will be taken off the plastic base I put him on to hold on to while painting, but the integral base will just be sculpted over - the ground will be a muddy swampy terrain. Probably do the idol in a green/black stone to tie in with the snake and the face paint.

Thanks El Guardian - I think that\'s my best skintone yet :)

Ritual - that dagger looks great! I am not usually a fan of light sourcing because it is rarely done convincingly, but you seem to have a handle on it!

@Primeval
Thanks! I feel the same way about light sourcing so I was quite nervous about doing it myself. I think it turned out OK, though. Didn\'t want to overdo it. I will put a little bit of reflection on his fingers next to the dagger, but then it\'s enough I think.

BTW, your piece seems to come along nicely. The shaman looks great, especially the skin.

Okay, I was trying to achieve the confrontation look with the weapon, but I\'m not sure whether it turned out all confrontationaly and beaten metal looking, or just rough. I kinda dabbed on the highlights, while mixing some wierd colours, and using larger jumps in tone....comments?
