My wip horse of nurgle...

I\'ve been painting half of my chaos knight in Khornes scheme, and half of the knight in nurgles. Now, I need help to decide which one of them that looks best. :) Please let me know what you think. (I will upload a clearer pic soon)

Nah, it\'s just the angle of the picture. Her arm\'s really coming forward with the elbow pointing toward her hip. The only odd part is her wrist is turned so her thumb points down... it\'s a chick pose. She\'s giving her Magmin the hoche mamalol

The Order i DM for has found themselves in a land heavy in magic lately:D

Yes, I know i\'m posting too many pics of my horses, but this is the last one

(please ignore the ugly horses in the background, they were my first minis :p)

I got done with my (ok, my customer\'s) Black Orc BSB. Just have to take a halfway decent pic and post it. Keep your eyes open for the pluggin\' thread ;)

@ghafasa. I\'d say nurgle horse you seem better with them. And in your last post looks like your camera focused on the dice so it\'s kinda hard to tell anything about the horse.

Wow, tidoco2222, that\'s an awesome paint job! :bouncy:

Here\'s my troll again. I\'ve started to add some rusting, it needs some shading, and theres still a lot of NMM and skin to do yet. Do any of you have good techniques for making metal look dirty? Or do you think putting too much rust on would spoil the NMM?

Thanks. :)

@Griffo
I usually apply a darker brown quite generously, when I want metal to look dirty. Then I apply a few smaller spots of brighter rust here and there. I use VMC Beige Brown for the larger areas (it\'s quite similar to Bestial Brown if you\'re using GW colours) and then an orange brown for the brighter rust.

It looks really promising so far! :)

putting on too much would spite the nmm...... i found something some where... said simply this... for rust..

take some steal wool put it in a baby jar with water leave outside (lid off so water evaporates) stir it every once while and such... eventualy itl\'l start to rust and ul\'l be left with powdered rust... put a lil glue in some of it and brush it on

@ Griffo thanks but not a patch on your troll, Dark Flesh heavily watered down makes a good start for rust and then dots of blazing and fiery orange for some relief might do the trick.

I have gotten a little further on the skelly not totally happy with the NMM but it does look better than I expected. Anyway here it is,

Comments welcome I still need to tone down the gold.

And here you\'ve been complaining about not being able to do NMM... :rolleyes: ;)
This looks great! I agree that the gold is a bit on the yellow side. Perfectly acceptable on another mini, but it ruins that \'straight out of the ground\' look! :D

*edit* For some reason, the belt is my favourite part at this point. Both the leather and the buckle look very good!

I may yet go back over the gold and do it steel (rusty steel that is), thanks Anders to be honest I never knew I had it in me.

well hre\'s my latest mini, a black orc by illyad. Tidoco really got me anting to paint one with the awsome job he did on his, and since I needed to do a mini for the french ML this one seemed to fit he bill. I\'m probably gona go back on the skin, try to make it as good as I can so any advice is appreciated.

@Frenchkid
At this point I\'d increase the highlights on the skin some. Then I\'d tone it back a bit by applying a quite dark wash with some blue-ish colour. That would smoothen out the blendnings some. I use that technique a lot when doing skin.

Seriously good stuff. You still going to do a few of these?

I PMed Klute earlier and confessed to my Cyborg fetish....Is it time we start coming out of the closet!!!

BTW Spacemunkie, whatever happened to the light sourced kind of \'jedi\' warrior you posted a LOONG time ago in one of these WIP threads??

*Ahem* Never got round to starting it....

I am halfway through (shock, horror...) making a resin copy of him, so I can use the copy to achieve lighting effects on the base using an airbrush. Made half the mould, just need to finish it....
