Works In Progress II

@angus147258: I\'m going to put a couple washes of dark angels green over the rest of the green, and I think that will be the last step to it. Just 6 more to go...

@NSA: It\'s actually a piece of my fern bansaii posing as a fern. I find they work really great for any small plants on bases. Usually I use much smaller ones, but with the waywatchers being wood elves I figured I\'d use a bigger one. The other foliage on the base is birch seeds painted as leaves and what not.

I will finish it...just gotta get this UK trip out of the way...and hopefully clear my head (and get the girl!) and then hopefully will be able to finish it and start fresh on the forgeworld stuff I am picking up along with a mini for a D&D character i play (want that mini to be done to high standards so will practice blending, etc on it instead of just finishing it)

Sweet paint but (theres always a but). Hes too neat for an ogre. Have you thought of doing some rust on his weopon. Just use brown and orange ink. Just a thought its a good paint job without it.

I see what you\'re saying, but as this was a miniature i painted just for fun i felt like going against the typical Ogre image. But you\'re right though as the metal on his weapon looks crap anyways.

He\'s on CMoN Here and here

Help - HAIR!

@ tony...lol best looking 40k fig i ever saw - honestly (i\'ve never liked w40k!)

latest WIP - an RPG character of a friend -some bits i like.... others i dont! The lyre on her back came out well, and some of the highlights on her clothes, and while the skin looks ok on the fig in the pics it looks like i\'ve plastered the paint on... and as for the poor girl\'s eyes :(

Still have the sword and hair to paint. The hair should be (and i quote from the \'friend\') burnished red-blonde... now what the &*$%@* does that mean and any idea how i paint red-blonde let alone burnished?

Help!

red-blonde? I know we try and copy the real thing, but this is tough.

Could it be similar to strawberry blonde?

You might try doing blonde and the washing it with a thinned down orange-yellow combination. That\'s the best I can come up with.

Here are two things that I\'ve been working on lately, the first is the female cyborg from Sacred Blade, I actually started this a while back but have gotten myself down and painted the skintones which are just about complete. I just have to add some reddish washes to make the implanted areas look sore, I\'ve already started that and will continue with it.

The second I started this morning, a Knight of Dol Amroth from LOTR and I have just about completed the metalics on it. Just a couple of washes here and there pick out a couple of highlights and they are done.
